Tough to find enough tar and feathers handy , even in Ukraine.

Hey, these guys are on to something! There are quite a few of US politicians that I’d like to see dumped into the trash bin…

Over the next 6 weeks this should be shown as an instructional video at all Democrat gatherings.

If I can’t retroactively do it to Joe Lieberman, kind of like how they dug up Oliver Cromwell and hanged his body after the Restoration, it’s not worth the trouble.

There are so many great things to import into the US & A, like this great approach to expressing one’s love for ultraconservative politicians. If only . . .

Cruz
McConnell
Rubio
Sanitorium
King, S.

And so many more.

This needs to be an American Tradition as well.

Someone needs to have a dumpster delivered to the steps of the Capitol.

Way to bury the lede.

The Ukrainian government and the rebels reached a cease-fire?

Your teabag is showing, Mr. Troll.

We’re gonna need a bigger dumpster.

Poetic and historic.

Can we photoshop the Terrapin’s face onto that guy’s image in the dumpster?

I get the comments and they’re not outrageous exactly but readers should be aware of a racist joke from the 1970s about people being thrown away. I suspect the tasteless joke is still circulating.

Actually, for some time, I’ve been noticing in various venues some similar language related to a specific phrase that was created decades ago and is reappearing in new permutations. You can sometimes see a legal version of the phrase in the bumper sticker that reads “Visualize a world without liberals.” Originally used in the South, it was a phrase that used a different word than ‘liberal.’ Lately, right wingers have been substituting various other words or phrases at the end.

Language is a funny thing. I’ve been thinking about it now for decades. When I was young, wealthy young sociopaths tried to teach me their vocabulary and ways. I noticed their tone had a different meaning than working class kids who were frustrated with their circumstances. I also heard the language now and then of gang members who were basically sociopathic but the premise was very different and based largely on rage and hopelessness. The wealthy young sociopaths felt entitled to dominate even if they were cynical about those who created their wealth. But they already knew that aggressive language can paralyze the thinking of the other person.

Language matters. I can swear a blue streak if necessary. But it never leads to my most effective thinking or analysis. Think of Donald Rumsfeld and how he operated. And although he was powerful, he accomplished very little in the end. Fundamentally, he was a failure. I can still see how angry he was about the photos concerning Abu Ghraib. The press pretended he was angry because the guards had behaved so foolishly. No, he was angry that pictures were taken and that the pictures got out.

We can rage against the things that are happening — sometimes we need to — but everything in me says we need to get back to explaining WHAT is happening and what we might be able to do about it. Donald Rumsfeld was fond of using language that paralyzed the thoughts of others. That’s essentially the business these days of many political consultants.

I like these people, we should totally grant them asylum and set them up with apartments in Alaska.

Now That’s a Real Shame When Folks Be Throwin’ Away a Perfectly Good White Boy Like That
