Russia continues to control the situation. Kyiv government is now provoked into action in the east which I guess will open the door for direct Russian intervention to protect someone or other. The EuromaidanPR facebook page posts articles by those who think that the next targets will be Russian speaking regions of Moldova and Estonia, and that there is in fact a war going on. Sounds right to me. The Russian government, in the grand tradition, is responding to its sense of having been discounted and surrounded by opposing forces and is striking back. Through the Customs Union and these ops in Eastern Europe, Russia is reconstructing the SU without the communism; that is, the Russian Empire, this time as a “Christian” entity.
