It makes me sad that, with the country in its current state, Holder would focus on restoring Uber’s image…
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Holder is also on retainer to the State of California or at least some lawmakers to protect us from the White House.

I read Susan Fowler’s blog post and it’s pretty shocking. As to Eric Holder, though, I suggest we wait and see what happens. Even the guilty are entitled to representation; I’m guessing Mr. Holder will give Uber some advice that they won’t be very happy to receive.
Agreed. I read the blog post yesterday and it’s shocking. How any company in this day and age can think they’d get away with such behavior is beyond me but not, apparently, beyond Uber management or HR.
Innocent until proven guilty but I’d say Ms. Fowler has a nice settlement in her future. Sounds like she has a well-documented paper trail.
Article says his role is to conduct an investigative probe, not to represent or defend Uber. I’d say give Holder a chance. Uber may be rotten and irredeemable, but there’s nothing wrong in taking on the job to investigate that.

Uber is a company with a great history of taking dramatic and decisive steps to fix problems that are known to management and obviously, grotesquely wrong or dangerous once a national public scandal breaks out. Which is what Silicon Valley seems to think “good corporate citizenship” means.
