Discussion: U.K. Regulator: Fox News 'No-Go-Zones' Segment Violated Broadcast Laws

Discussion for article #240884

Too bad our FCC isn’t quite as pro-active when dealing with BS masquerading as “news.”

Great. So are they going to sanction Fox or just wag their finger at them?

Good question. Lets see it is run by R. Murdock, owned by R. Murdock. I would guess a small, side to side wag for about a second or maybe two.

Are theh talking about the ‘no go’ zones where the man was beaten by an immigrant gang in England last week? How about the years long Brighton prostitution ring? Or the French women attacked within sight of the Tower for wearing bikinis? Or the Pakistani infested block in London just north of our English office, where we couldn’t travel through to the Pub on the far side, a favorite of the English workers? Or perhaps the places natives have begun to forget are theirs?

There are no real “mad” men on the cable TV show “Mad Men”, just as there is no real “news” on the cable TV show “Fox News.”

I can at least do this in their general direction:

Proving the maxim once again…“A lie is half way around the world before the truth gets its pants on”. Of course with the lie machine created by Faux News the lie gets all the way around the world these days…

Also too bad: American Fox viewers will never see this story.

Yes indeed, the old “Liberal Media” has failed America…

…again.

Why are there so many typos in this story?

Scant editing? Weak proofreading? Broken spellchecker?

“infested” – Got it.

Years worth of fox crap and this is what they get called out for? It’s like Capone getting busted for tax evasion, except for the part about Capone actually getting some punishment.

Yeah, too bad those camel jockeys don’t know their place, eh what? :hankey:

So…why would Fox care? Josh also said in his editor’s not that this is why Fox apologized so quickly earlier this summer, out of fear this would happen and in an attempt to try to prevent it (or so I inferred from Josh). But again, why would Fox care? Is there some sort of major sanction that Fox fears that could result from this? Feel like there’s something missing from this article…

Why do I think the people you are objecting to are higher class than you are?

To the best of my knowledge the last major war fought by the British was against your ilk.

Would it matter?

No, you apologize for getting the facts and the story wrong, not for possibly offending people, otherwise it’s a non-apology apology.
