I heard interviews yesterday suggesting that the police, by donning riot gear and using heavy-handed, unnecessary tactics, might be trying to provoke a riot - thereby giving them an opportunity to show how bad race relations are under this President. I thought initially that this was probably a serious exaggeration. Well, what should I think now?

So hundreds of heavily-armed white men can point loaded automatic weapons at Federal authorities, and not one fucking thing happens to a single fucking one of them.
Unarmed black citizens can demonstrate in their own neighborhood with their hands held up in the air, and they have military-grade weaponry aimed at them. By heavily-armed white men.

i see human rights going the middle eastern route in America due to white people getting away with murder. this president and justice department has been the whitest presidency in a long time. white presidents at least tame down racist white people, however this president is scared of speaking out against white people…black people should start arming themselves legally and lets have another civil war, because currently only poor blacks are getting killed - while rich blacks keep saying peace without violence. it sounds like the rich blacks are saying protect my paycheck at the expense of the poor. no mother or father should have to bury their child because he was walking in the middle of the street.

So, turns out when you give small town cops huge mounts of money to buy military gear and draft elaborate contingency plans on how to use it in the event there’s a complete breakdown in civil order, everything looks like a complete breakdown of civil order to them. Who could have foreseen it?

Arresting two reporters, one who works for that little rag the Washington Post, a stroke of genius!
I hope this wakes people up. This actually goes on everyday. 50,000 people are raided by these paramilitary units every year. The vast majority for mostly petty non-violent offenses, a big chunk of that for simple marijuana possession. That means 100-150 people got raided today, many with families, many in the middle of the night. For Eric Garner type bullshit. Those two reporters would do well to go report on those poor bastards for a week.
They didn’t even get the full treatment. They were released without any paperwork. Most of these hapless people, whose real offense is being poor, uneducated, with maybe a substance abuse problem, go to jail. There they get the benefit of a little Extra Judicial punishment like being raped or beaten.
And if that doesn’t get you mad, then there is this. They kill puppies. They literally kill puppies. One every 98 minutes
