Discussion: Two Key UN Aides To Haley Resign Amid Growing Tensions With North Korea

At least one of the guys leaving was unable to break into her inner circle and was a doctrinaire Conservative ideologue. It looks like Haley is flexing her muscle. In many ways she is the new face of US foreign policy and she seems to be relishing her role.

I liked Haley before she jumped in with Trump. Not so much now. Good luck with finding replacements.

Sounds like at least one of these guys had no business being anywhere UN Plaza to begin with.

So. Much. Winning. The Titanic sank in one night; I’m guessing it will take this “Administration” about 11 months.

Politico also reported that “despite his conservative bona fides, Groves never really broke into Haley’s inner circle.” Groves argued for the U.S. to end relations with the UN Human Rights Council over its criticism of Israel and should pull out of the Paris Climate Accord.

Yep, sounds as if there’s only but so much kool-aid that Haley is willing to swallow. Yes, she’s a shill for the Rump regime but perhaps not in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Sounds like both of them are no great loss. Locking them out of her inner circle probably was the defining issue that made both of these bozos quit.

Fox News and Heritage lineage. Probably impatient and pissed nukes haven’t already been launched.

So, to summarize, two right wing hacks resign working for another right wing hack. Whatever.

Suspect it may be an attempt to insulate herself from the fallout of a #45 collapse, a potential post-Trump world other Republicans including VP Pence are clearly focusing on.

She looks like a sixth-grader in that photo, out of her depth and insecure in her role in an adult organization.

Kasich/Haley in 2020?

(When I mistyped Kasich, spellcheck changed it to Masochist…)

Ahhh, the old family concerns.

It’s an oldie, but a goody.

Laughing out loud for real at that.

Once Trump comes back from golfing I’m sure he’ll announce that Jared Kushner is adding the UN job to his responsibilities and Ms. Haley will be fired.

Chaos? No chaos here - just a reality TV show crashing.

I’m actually surprised that Nimrata is more capable than previously thought (I admit that I have strong prejudice against republicans from South Carolina, and being Indian doesn’t redeem her all that much). Too bad she choose to take the job from a guy that was guaranteed to make her job impossible. If she is lucky she might impress someone in the Wingnut Welfare Network and she will land a job in a think tank once the Trump failture machine finishes chewing her up.

On MSNBC last night they referred to Haley, Tillerson, Mattis, McMaster and Kelly as Donald’s babysitters.

Despite the praise she receives, I’m with you. In demeanor, she presents as a self-conscious, tentative person lacking in the confidence that normally goes with this kind of position.
