Discussion: Twitter Sues Gov't After Demand To Reveal Identities Behind Critical Account

Shouldn’t USCIS be concentrating its efforts on disappearing deporting more potential witnesses with Drumpf-Russia connections? They’re not going deport themselves.

They asked that Twitter “unmask” the user. This must be deep state obummer leftovers trying to illegally embarrass prezident trump.

Glad to see Twitter suing to protect the 1st amendment from the Trump Administration, but if they want a quicker result, just kick Trump off for a day.

Unfortunate side result though may be that the entire executive branch of government shuts down.

Just another Twitter-spasm…

The news is all unmasking, all the time, this week. First the White House deplores it, then they insist on it.

Which is it, guys? Are “pro-unmasking,” or are we agin’ it?

How is this not a blatantly illegal overreach? And how is it not bigger news?

Unfortunate?

Jack Dorsey’s one of the good guys.

Sadly, he must have realized that Donnie had bigly usurped his position as a legendary insult…

Twitter is a private company. No one has a “right” to a Twitter account or to use Twitter. Twitter should just threaten to delete Trump twitter account if they don’t back off.

It involves this particular White House, so it’s Fake News.

This should be fun.

Q1. Looks like a blatantly illegal overreach to me.
Q2. The news just broke 2 hours ago, it should get bigger.

Twitter’s suit asks for reasonable legal fees. Given the number of attorneys from a big name firm worked on this - Trump and his legions are going to cost us a ton.

Request to any attorneys commenting - any estimate of how much it costs for the work that Wilmer has already done on this? I’m afraid to guess as I am not an attorney and will throw out a woefully low number.

This won’t be the last instance of the trumpanzees steamrolling the First Amendment. And I agree that Twitter would impress me more if they shut down that ignorant SOB’s account.

Twitter is certainly all atwitter about it.

Hahaha…what an entertaining twitter account! Thank you to the administration for pointing it out  Looks like I’m not the only one, either:
