Joe Coffee just can’t admit that republicans themselves are to blame for what happened in Oklahoma by republican congressman not attending Selma march, not standing up for President Obama when republican politicians are blatantly racist, and not knocking down the KKK by their standing up for GOP representatives who attend Duke rallies.

I don’t understand why is it so hard for idiot Joe to understand that the reason why the frat boy video is so objectionable is not over the N word alone. If they’d been simply singing a random song using the word along with the lyrics, it would have been ridiculous, but still understandable. No, these guys had their own little ditty, it’s their own song, clear about not allowing blacks into their little group and lynchings. Even the kid’s parents are not excusing his behavior. Why is Joe Scarborough such a thick head?

At the turn of the 19th/20th centuries:

One critic called it “a national calamity,” and declared that its fans
had “sold themselves body and soul to the musical Satan.” The renowned
composer Antonin Dvorak, on the other hand, after touring the United
States came to the conclusion that what he called its “beautiful and
varied themes” presented the future of American music. The genre of
music in debate was called ragtime and its most accomplished performer
was Scott Joplin.
…
Many of those who criticized it as a crude entertainment did so because
it emanated from African American culture. Critic E.R. Kroeger
complained, “Is it true that we must accept the music of another race as
being that which is American? Have not the white Americans sufficient
individuality to develop a characteristic style of composition?” The
music buying public while unable to define ragtime, was certain of one
thing, they loved it.

Maybe it’s like this–

Rap music in the 1990’s caused the GOP to become apoplectic and reactionary, leading to education funding cuts, so Oklahoma children got very poor educations, and the innocently-racist souls in the video just never learned how to be proper citizens. QED

In a rare move this morning I turned on Morning Joe and saw this segment. To say I sat there with my mouth open is no exaggeration. Talking to Bill Kristol, along with Joe and Mika, about hip hop is the silliest thing ever. Morning Joes tries to damn hard, but never hits the mark. .

…One fine night, they leave the pool hall
Headin’ for the dance at the Arm’ry –
Libertine men and scarlet women and ragtime!
Shameless music that’ll drag your son, your daughter
Into the arms of a jungle animal instinct massteria!
Friends, the idle brain is the devil’s playground, trouble!

Oh, we got trouble
Right here in River City
(Right here in River City)
With a capital ‘T’ and that rhymes with ‘P’
And that stands for ‘pool’
(That stands for pool)…

Bill Kristol: Equally wrong on domestic policy as he is on foreign policy.

The usual suspects defending the typical wrongs and adding in their own wrong to top it off.
Who believes that Scarborough or Bill Kristol really understands rap? Not just the words either but the deeper meaning. I don’t.

Yea, Rap came along when 1985/90 which cause slavery in the America’s from the time of Columbus, remember he enslaved the natives he found on the islands of the Caribbean, through 1865. Never knew that music was a time traveling medium…let alone the slavery found in Roman, Greece, and even that which was mentioned in the Bible some folks so favor.
