Discussion: Tweeter-In-Chief Says It’s ‘Dangerous’ For Social Media Sites To Ban Users

But it’s not too late for Congress to ban the dangerous Tweeter-In-Chief.

Oh wait…

You would think that an opponent of regulation would support the choices of social media companies. Don’t they know better than government bureaucrats? Shouldn’t the market decide? And maybe they have a sincerely held religious belief that prohibits them from participating in the dissemination of hate speech. I know it’s not a wedding cake, but that might need to be protected as well.
Besides, with the massive majorities of people who hold such beliefs, I’m sure that these folks could create and maintain social media platforms of their own. Let the market decide, Donnie!

But Presidents, GOP Presidents, banning news reporters, taking away security clearances from political opponents, supporting white supremacy, colluding with Russia, is not dangerous.

It is dangerous to allow certain people to use social media

Social media abuser opposes banning of social media abusers. How droll.

He’s revoked clearances, blocked people on Twitter and treatened to fire NFL players who protest the National Anthem.

He should mind his own fucking business.

The problem with social media - all private companies - is that they do not enforce their own rules consistently. If they did, it is likely DJT’s account would have been shut down by now. To enforce them selectively, even when justified (Jones), leaves a bad taste.

Humm wonder what would happen if twitter banned Donald…interesting to think about!

It might also be interesting if every person that follows Twitler just unfollowed him.

A poorly coded call for violence if you ask me. “Attack these people, my minions, and show them that they will pay with their bodies and lives for defying Our will.”

One more time, for the cheap seats; the First Amendment does not apply to private companies. Never has, never will, never was intended to. If you want unregulated speech, open your own media company.

But it’s fine and dandy for the President to go after the free press, which is protected by the First Amendment from exactly that - the President going after the free press.

social media is not part of the government therefore the constitution does not apply. At all.

I miss the days when a tweeter was a stereo speaker and a traitor was Brett Favre in a Vikings shirt.

Isn’t that Russian/Conservative/Republican voices?

Gotta say once again that wingnut bullsh*tters are really good at co-opting liberal talking points.
