I was wrong about Trump in two ways:

(1) I thought he was far more competent and less lazy.

(2) I grossly underestimated the capabilities, organization and purpose of the people who prop him up.

Are the Mexican people okay with being treated like pawns in Trump’s domestic political battles? Are they okay with their President allowing Trump to pretty much claim he can push Mexico around at will?

The Times piece looks like Mexican pushback …but if I was a pissed off Mexican, it would be far from sufficient.
