Discussion: Tucker Carlson Thinks Booker Is Proof That White Supremacy Is NBD

Some parts of NJ are hideously racist.
Always have been.

Hey, Obama means there is no more racism, or need for the enforcement provisions of the Voting Rights Act.

Trinity College is a good school. I know some pretty sharp people who went there. I also know some pretty not sharp people who went to Ivies. And rode their familyā€™s legacy status etc. And there is one guy just confirmed to the SCOTUS who went back to back Ivy, and is a lying rapey fratboy who is not fit to be a judge anywhere and could only be one in Post Reagan USA! USA! USA!

There are women in the workplace, therefore sexual harassment no longer exists.

Ok dude.

ā€œAmerica has given Cory Booker amazing opportunities precisely because itā€™s not the hateful place he pretends it is.ā€

Um, excuse me, but it was the citizenry of just New Jersey who elected himā€¦ not all of America.

ā€œWhy are black people on welfare when LeBron James makes millions in the NBA? They all should play in the NBA, the NFL, or something like that. There are so many opportunities for black people in sports that really white people are the ones who deserve reparations.ā€

For what itā€™s worth, Booker was elected in New Jersey, not Alabama. That might make a bit of a difference.

Did Cory Booker have the same sort of white privilege boost as Tucker Carlson. By the way the name Tucker Carlson just reeks of white privilege.

Real GOP billboard here in Tennessee, proving that racism is no longer a problem.

Yeah, trump world.
Tucker always strikes me as that preppy rich kid from across town. With the leather elbow patches on his coat. And his tie has the preppy school emblem on it.
Tucker Carlsonā€¦the name screams old family money.

Heā€™s one of the heirs to the Swanson TV Dinner fortune.

Iā€™m mildly irked by the use of ā€˜NBDā€™ in the title since I had to look it up. Just a cranky old man here.

Obviously not. But, having a close relative who has worked in Newark for many many years, and who has followed him from when he was on the City Council, I am not enamored of Cory Booker at all. I thought his performance during the Kavanaugh hearing was, compared to Kamala Harrisā€™, kind of lame. After decades of mystery about what his bachelor status meant, he revealed he was in a relationship with a Hollwyood actress I used to like when she was in MIB II, which I think is a totally opportunistic move for him to have made after announcing his run for the Presidency. Not that anyone who runs for President is lacking in ambition or opportunism.

No need to put yourself down. A proper school of journalism teaches that you donā€™t abbreviate before you introduce the term in the body of the piece. Actually, I learned that in 4th grade Englishā€¦

O tempora, o mores indeed.

ā€œAs long as one single black man can have a successful career in this country, our work is not yet doneā€ say Carlson to his friends.

Oh wait, a white entitled male has no problem with white supremacy. Go Figure.

Does Carlson really not understand that Bookerā€™s election was limited to the State of New Jersey?

You are not alone. Iā€™m a cranky old man too and not conversant in acronyms.

Iā€™m glad to see @schmed point out how incorrect it is using it in a headline. But it could mean No Big Deal. Damn, just go ahead and write it out.

No Big Deal probably. I hope, however, that when I use NDP itā€™s understood what rather who I mean.
