It’s the shitgibbon’s fault for playing dice with the lives of federal workers.

They have not gotten all of their back pay yet. This poor man had struggles that we cannot imagine. The inability to pay his bills may have pushed him to the brink. So unimaginably sad.

The airport tweeted that passengers who rushed past checkpoints were returned for a second examination out of an abundance of caution.

Because this could have been part of a fiendishly clever plan to get a terrorist onto a plane.

Tragic occurrence, but lord the people in charge of the TSA are confused about what they’re doing, and why.

I really really hope that wasn’t the case because that would be just unbearably awful.

When there is no capacity for guilt, the Monster is Guiltless.

But Drumpf is worse than that:

He draws people down to his level like no one ever has.

inability to pay bills is one thing. Having your superiors tell you, you better LIKE IT when you work weeks for no pay, THAT pushes a person beyond the edge

I look forward to him meeting the family and autographing a picture of the dead man.

Trump will not go anywhere near that family.

Since the shutdown didn’t end till Jan 25th, deposits weren’t going to go out till Jan 31, appearing in people’s bank accounts on Feb 1. Five weeks without pay - for a lot of people who were living paycheck to paycheck. That can do a LOT of damage that just getting your back pay won’t cover.

Whoever I replied to – you or someone else – already said that.

He was essentially in the highest risk age group for suicide.

Sadly as I have entered this same age group, I have begun to evaluate suicide at times. I am not suicidal but it’s just never been an option when I think about my future until recently. It seems to be an age wise epidemic not only constrained to the US, though I have not researched it extensively.

I’ve made some dramatic lifestyle changes to try and deal with what I believe are the underlying causes. I’ve also started looking for a therapist. It’s challenging to find one “in network” and accepting new patients.

All I can think is this world is changing faster than a lot of us can adapt to it. Some of us aren’t going to find the right tools in time.

My heart goes out to those who love him.

The people in charge of the Theatric Security Administration know exactly what they’re doing, and why. Very little of it has to do with genuine security, and almost none of it passes a proper cost/benefit check. It’s mainly about (1) making the public feel like something is being done, and (2) bureaucratic CYA if and when something does happen.

Part (2) is why they re-screened everybody.

I hope you keep taking good steps. You can find help, and things can get better. I know from experience.
