Discussion: TSA: Many Employees Skipping Work 'Due To Financial Limitations'

I wonder when Toadglans will start demanding that absent TSA workers be fired because they can’t afford to buy gas to get to work because they haven’t been paid for a month?

“They should just do what I always did,” Cockholster will crow. “Suck it up, get on the phone, and call Daddy for more money.”

I was supposed to fly next week but cancelled. I can’t use the services of air traffic controllers and TSA workers without them getting paid. I don’t know if other people are doing that, but it’s likely affecting business at least a little.

And daddy will come to your casino and buy a few million dollars in chips he won’t use. Voila! Cash transfer!

Dick Head Donnie protects his Southern border but lets airports wide open.

This is quickly becoming a national security issue, in addition to the gross insensitivity and contemptuous attitude towards federal employees who deserve much better.

TSA at airports can’t do as good a job as they do in normal times, right?

Time to shut off utilities to the Oval Trailer and the Orange House…

Donnie’s just another deadbeat…

But Mike Pence says that God will provide. By that he means there is a perfectly good floor they can sleep on, all airports have a floor.

Praise Be!

When airline passengers start experiencing 90 minute lines to get through security, maybe they will begin complaining to their Senators to just open the damned government again.

Until the general public starts feeling the pain, this shutdown won’t end. News stories about other people struggling without paychecks doesn’t move the urgency meter.

I’m in…

Just like the legion of contractors and small business owners whose lives were ruined in the wake of his investments in Atlantic City, they are invisible, collateral damage. This is not politics, it is a dangerous and reckless pathology.

As this drags on it becomes increasingly apparent that the billionaire Tom Steyer and the Impeach Trump Now Movement have it right but without Americans peacefully taking to the streets in large numbers, like the Yellow Vest movement in France, an impeachment movement won’t get traction and Trump could stand for re-election.

It’s time for a national general strike against Trump

I agree. That’s been a major concern of mine for a couple of weeks now.

In a word, no. Wait time at IAD (Dulles) is 15 minutes, used to be 8, and at DCA 16, used to be 4. These wait times need to get a lot longer so the critters who travel through them feel the pain and tell #wheresmitch who’s deferred to moron all this while about it.

This (mis) administration hates workers. Government workers are on the top of the list, but all the rest of us are on the list, too.

Q: The TSA app is showing incorrect wait times. The line is longer than the app indicates.

TSA Answer: Wait times are based on crowdsourced data provided by passengers and we cannot ensure their accuracy. Prepare for your trip by checking the histogram, which is based on historical data and can estimate how busy your airport is likely to be on your selected day and time of travel.

Late edit: Thus the TSA app is like an internet poll. Totally unscientific. Based on BS data.

I have posted this before, but want to repeat as often as I can. My sister is a TSA officer. She was one of the first hired when the agency was created. She has no other income. Just her and her pets. I am truly convinced that the vast majority of people don’t care about the workers who are impacted by this. They tut tut stuff, mutter that things will be all right… and suggest food banks and other bleats of sympathy.
I want people to get good and pissed off. I asked my republican senator , Susan Collins, to stop with the namby pamby language and have a fit on the senate floor. Who is standing up for these people who are in true harms way? I will make sure my sister is ok. But mentally, who wants handouts when THEY ARE WORKING !. There. That being said, I have to fly for my job next week. Will thank each and every agent I encounter, as that is all I can directly do for them.

The lines were insane at Seattle-Tacoma on Saturday morning. The regular screening line was way past the ropes and circling the escalators. Even the TSA Pre-Check line was full. And there were folks from the Clear express line service roaming around offering on the spot sign-ups.

General strike with pilots and flight attendants walking out in sympathy. That would do it. Hell, everybody should walk the fuck out. I would.

Indeed that would do it. The government would be open within minutes.

Well, all federal workers are Democrats, not Real Americans, so they don’t count.
