I know it shouldn’t, but it still boggles my mind that once someone comes around to seeing DOTUS for what he really is, and the GOP for the DOTUS loving dotards they are, that the tax scam and a SOTU that wasn’t a complete disaster is all it takes to put them back in the “Approve” and “I’d vote for the GOP for Congress” columns.

I’m not one to take the easiest of pot shots, but
I can’t speak for our great representatives here but I have a feeling they may agree with me.
This just is not a smart man.
Dems are overly optimistic, daca only affects a same number on NON americans. Out here in the real world, folks are worried about paying bills, keeping their credit good if gov shuts down, rising health ins/gas. I am sure that when dems do polling, daca is not high on the list of their voter’s concerns. Dems are losing on this issue, as they always have when it comes to illegals and "security.’ Dems fail to realize, they have to actually win the house and the senate, have real power, before they can do anything about daca.
Trump has mostly managed to stay out of his own way and stick to the script in the last few weeks, and that’s helped his party recover with independent voters.
Should they have just given up without a fight? Who will be blamed for this?

Most election years, the five percent who are insufficiently civic minded to pay any goddamn attention but too civic minded to do the right thing and not vote are dispositive. Right now, they’re basically irrelevant. They may all swing back to Donnie for a few days because they heard a thing, but all it does is take him from 35% to 40%.
