OK, just this once, I’ll have some forbearance, considering—the thing is, he can’t help himself. He’s mentally ill. I don’t know how much suffering it’s caused him in the past—hiding it is part of the illness—but it’s going to get a lot, lot worse. It’s a shame that protocol and custom dictated the necessity of taking a narcissistic buffoon to Yad Vashem. At least it was brief. But again, you can’t expect grace, or understanding, or any human quality from this broken person. Not there, not anywhere. And it really is, in a way, no joke, pretty sad.
