I wonder if one of the disgruntled delegates to the Rules Committee will add “all financial accounting must be up to date before a candidate can be named?” And there should be flow charts and an overhead projector. If not then we can definitely conclude that fiscal responsibility is not a Republican attribute.
No. The $51M haul IS the $51M loan, because once ithe loan was forgiven it automatically became a contribution.
TPM obviously wrong. CNN says $51 million … period.
Ahem, except for Donald Trump, who boasts of having “the world’s greatest memory” (except for the numerous times when it doesn’t suit the circumstances that he finds himself in).
red crayon.
nope. this is the super secret math that costs you an additional $35k. only the trump knows.
That conclusion was made by HW Bush when he called Reaganomics “voodoo”.
he doesn’t lie. he just makes suggestions.
Don’t trust and verify.*
* Paraphrasing Ronald Reagan’s Soviet Union arms treaty cliche.
The Donald Trump campaign on Wednesday released a statement
The Trump campaign reported
the Trump campaign boasts
the Trump campaign said
The statement also said
The Trump campaign wrote
The campaign also reported
All filed under the “Trump said” tag… and that’s all we need to know about this “news.”
Smoke and mirrors.
you are correct. trump is making “fuzzy math” out of a 2 step arithmetic process. wonder why?
Bankruptcy is like putting on your own oxygen mask first before saving the kids.
He is not a racist.
How much of the money raised was from Foreign Nationals?
TPM:
“The way the release is written makes it difficult to determine precisely how much Trump raised and for which committees and during which time period,” Rick Hasen, an election law expert and professor at the University of California at Irvine School of Law, told TPM. “So, we’ll have to wait for the official FEC report before we know for sure what the money figures actually look like.”
If Trump is putting out a numerically fuzzy news release about his fundraising, then the release is a lie - there’s no reason to put it out this close to the release of official FEC numbers unless the official numbers are bad and Trump wants an alternate, publicly released, set of numbers to point at when talking to supporters and donors - and to point at when he’s projectingly calling journalists and other critics liars.
jiggery–pokery
Not necessarily with numbers, but in every respect, the more I look at Trump’s campaign, the more it looks like a monkey trying to f**k a football.
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
First liar doesn’t stand a chance … Grandpa —
From 2000 when he considered running as an independent. NYT reporting in June.
“It’s very possible that I could be the first presidential candidate to run and make money on it.”
“He could end up turning a profit if he repaid himself for the campaign loans,” said Paul S. Ryan, a campaign finance expert with the Campaign Legal Center. “He could get all his money back plus the profit margin for what his campaign has paid himself for goods and services.”
You know, cabchi, if your hypothesis is correct then I think that Trump’s Big Plan™ is to hobble/crawl along, wreaking as much havoc as possible each and every day, until he wraps up the nomination and then give enough “cause” for him to get the GOP boot - his lies on his FEC filing, the kiddie rape suit in NY, KKK at the convention - who knows what his circus will include. He can then claim he WON! and that he got the MOST VOTES! and that the system is RIGGED!
This gives Trump the cover he desperately needs to get out the race as a “winner” and be able to blame someone else for his clear failings. His ego won’t let him quit nor will it allow him to stay in only to LOSE to a WOMAN so he needs a plan that is simple enough for a kindergartener to follow.
