Because it’s a good thing, I’m against it?
Like hiring a pedophile to work in a daycare business.
The Republican wrecking crew continues.
When will the public wake up and realize that being against government disqualifies you from working for the government?
And tends to invite scrutiny and law suits the minute you’ve finished filling out the paperwork.
Of course he did. This is no surprise. Trump is here not just to feather his own bed, but as someone with a criminal mind, his favorite entertainment is causing the maximum chaos and suffering for the largest number of people possible, and sitting back and laughing at us rubes as we try to deal with it.
It’s astounding to me that braindead seniors vote for Republicans in huge numbers. Who the EFF do they think is protecting (and created!) Medicare? They are like zombies voting for all manner of GOP rabble, never ONCE thinking that the healthcare which keeps many of them all cushy and upper middle class can vanish overnight with Trump-appointed jackals in place stripping the program of money and functionality!
What in the world does anyone expect from a Le Page supporter. She’s a heartless joke.
Mary Mayhew (we call her Mary Mayhem up here) is the WORST iteration of the kind of hacks and opportunists that this administration attracts like seagulls to bait.
Her time running DHHS was fraught with constant attempts to cut benefits, cut spending, reduce the workforce. Recently some investigation into our child protective arm has uncovered overworked, underfunded social workers with some potentially horrific results. (A couple of child deaths for DHHS supervised children led to some investigative reporting.)
Leaving aside her being Lepage’s handmaiden in the Medicare expansion obstruction (which has been well-reported on here and persists to this day), she is just the most cynical, opportunistic, heartless person I’ve seen in Maine politics. I can’t fathom a worse person to be in this job.
ETA: Nice summary here:
This should make some good headlines up to the midterms, no ?
Astounding, huh?
Yeah, the GOP wants to kill more poor people!
Awesome.
“malfeasance, misfeasance and nonfeasance”
Isn’t Trump appointing someone to lead a program with the intent to make that program fail a complete abrogation of his responsibility to faithfully enforce the law?
Sure seems criminal to me.
She cut off eligibility for Medicaid in Maine just as the opioid epidemic was getting started and continued to fight expansion while the bodies piled up. And she’s not sorry. https://www.pressherald.com/2018/03/28/greg-kesich-now-we-know-maines-medicaid-savings-came-at-a-terrible-price/
