Discussion: Trump's Legal Team Drags Feet On Plan To File ‘Leak’ Complaint Against Comey

Could it be they have no friggin’ clue as to what they are even doing?

They’re only just discovering that this isn’t the same as bullying some building contractor they’re trying to stiff. Threats and bluster don’t work the same way in this environment.

Trumpers, in a nutshell:
A: I’ve got the biggest dick you’ve ever seen, gorgeous! It’ll blow your mind!
B: Well? I’m waiting.
A: I, uh, need a moment…GODDAMN FEMINAZI!!!

Maybe the fact that it wasn’t a leak, had no classified info and was from a former employee has a little something to do with it.

The suit is frivolous on its face and preposterous in its attempt to frame it as something that it clearly isn’t.

The Trumptees are postponing the loss in hopes that something else pops up to make it seem less loserish.

“We’re working on it. We’ll have it in two to three weeks. It’ll be very unique and fabulous. Believe me”

Bullies who have only bluffs in their quiver are typically slow to learn.

When you’re effectively a one-trick pony, that leaves you a bit handicapped, so you bluster more.

THIS IS WHAT WINING LOOKS LIKE! Believe me.

Why hasn’t Jay Sucksatlaw filed a religious discrimination lawsuit? Surely Comey’s testimony violated the Dear Leader’s rights to mega-grift and discriminate in some way or another.

Or perhaps they should simply order Sessions’ new, improved DOJ to file charges under our non-existent lèse-majesté statutes.

Slackers.

Also frivolous because Trump already claimed it didn’t happen as Comey said. You can’t leak something that didn’t happen (even leaving aside that it’s perfectly legal to have leaked his own notes). And there’s no executive privilege on fictional accounts. Trump can’t have it both ways, and he already had it the other way.

Isn’t the litigious nature of society a common Republican jeremiad? Yet their god(damn) emperor embodies the very tendencies they rail against. More GOP hypocrisy. Shocking.

Exactly, one of these two is back up fodder for the other. My or your argument would best them and I’m sure they know that.

Trumpty tries this quite often, his birther reversal being one of the first since he jumped in.
He is a birther but he isn’t because his birther hunt concluded in Obama proving his place of birth.
Classic example of wanting to have it both ways.

There have been many since but since he became a ‘public servant’ his BS now has real meaning and consequences for himself, those around him and all of us.

He’s a one trick pony basically and doesn’t know how to operate any other way which is why his supposedly silly and meaningless tweets actually ensnare him and corroborate his guilt.

since he became a ‘public servant’ his BS

I initially read that as “since he became a public servant of BS” :joy:

That’s another thread I think ; )

Maybe tomorrow.

“file a complaint”? Uh…does that mean that Comey might lose his job?

…sheesh…
