Yada yada yada…

Sekulow also said that the President was not aware of the meeting until “very recently.”

Interesting. Yesterday, you said the PO(tu)S said he became aware in “the last couple of days.” Could your change of verbiage to “very recently” have anything to do with last night’s NYT reporting that the statement was discussed on the plane coming back from Europe last week?

Sekulow and Kasowitz are playing this chess game at the level of “I didn’t know the horsey could jump over my piece. You sly dog, Mueller!”

“Opposition research was being done every single day by the campaigns. That’s the nature,” Sekolow replied. “It was not based on any of this.”

Well, except for the fact that what Jr. engaged in wasn’t oppo research but collusion. Nor does it matter if Rump himself was/wasn’t there. The meeting was taken on his behalf.

Look, this is nothing but a routine, everyday conspiracy to influence a national election with information stolen by a hostile nation’s intelligence service—no more, no less. We all need to get a grip here.

How many of those dozens of daily meetings did HQP email Jared and Paul about?

Just because something’s legal, and in this case, that’s yet to be determined, doesn’t mean it’s ethical, moral, or even a good idea. Someone, I don’t remember who, probably Norm Ornstein, said that the GOP has lost it’s moorings as it now has eschewed ethics and norms and almost exclusively relies on legalities as sources of justification for it’s actions

This was a 20-minute meeting that took place out of thousands of meetings…

The apologists keep trying some variation of this line of defense. Just a short meeting, didn’t yield anything of any value, etc., etc. “My client was only in the bank waving a gun around for 60 seconds, and the tellers wouldn’t give him any cash, so clearly we just need to move on.”

“This wasn’t illegal. And, besides, Clinton did the same thing.”

Of course, if DJTJR hadn’t done this, of it would have been grounds for locking her up.

And yet, he’s given free and ample time on major teevee networks to ply his invidious trade.

I completely believe that Trump didn’t know of the meeting… if he did, he’d have sent Ivanka.

Which is, of course, a complete non sequitur since Clinton is not the president and members of her family have no role in a White House she does not occupy.

…classic Russian espionage tradecraft…

And based on Trump bragging about upcoming dirt on Hillary hours later and Jr probably trying to look better to his dad than his sister or brother-in-law,I feel sure Donald knew all about it! God we need to get Donald and his family out of the WH and our government.
