If it wasn’t for the nativist shit and the thinly veiled racism, Trump’s campaign would be a hilarious jab at the GOP. And, in fact, the nativist shit and the thinly veiled racism might be enough to weigh down the eventual Republican nominee (assuming it isn’t him). Jeb has already stumbled into using the phrase “anchor babies” and if he’s the nominee, I hope the Democrats have a tape of that queued up and ready to run in an endless loop on Hispanic media during the general.

I’ll love it a lot more when his candidacy’s over and done with and even a small chance of that wrecking ball getting to the White House is eliminated.

Of course the part where he realizes he’s losing the primary and goes ballistic about it should be pretty entertaining. And if that’s followed by a petulant third-party Trump candidacy that tanks the chances of any GOP candidate in the general, so much the better.
