He’s not responsible for his anti-semitic supporters, he’s not responsible for the white supremacists, he’s not responsible for the racists, misogynists, violent protesters…okay. When will Trump be held responsible for anything?
Trump thinks it might be easier for everyone to be nicer to Jews if they knew when meeting one what their religious affiliation was. Maybe if somehow they were provided some distinctive mark or emblem to display on their clothing it would encourage more polite treatment.
He went on to say Trump has already denounced anti-Semitism “countless times,” most recently in an interview with the New York Times when the presumptive GOP nominee said anti-Semitism “has no place in our society.”
“[It] really bothers me that people think that he constantly has to repeat statements he has said before,” Greenblatt said.
He’s very consistent about that message is he? I recall Wolf Blitzer asking Trump about the death threats and antisemitic slurs aimed at Julia Ioffe by Trump’s “fans.” (Ioffe wrote the GQ article featuring Melania.)
Blitzer interrupted: “But the anti-Semitic death threats that have followed –”
“Oh, I don’t know about that. I don’t know anything about that. You mean fans of mine?” Trump replied.
“Supposed fans of posting these very angry – but your message to these fans is?” Blitzer continued.
“I don’t have a message to the fans,” the billionaire said. “A woman wrote an article that’s inaccurate.”
“[It] really bothers me that people think that he constantly has to repeat statements he has said before,” Greenblatt said.
Really? And how many times has President Obama had to reiterate his American-ness, largely because of unprincipled instigators like Trump?
Hey Greenblatt…It runs in the family. Those poor anti-semites were PROVOKED… Really?
Melania Trump said a journalist barraged with anti-Semitic death threats had “provoked” Trump supporters by writing a controversial profile of her.
“I don’t control my fans, but I don’t agree with what they’re doing. I understand what you mean, but there are people out there who maybe went too far. She provoked them,” Melania told DuJour magazine.
Trump has set the standard that race, religion and ethnicity are “fair game” when going after critics. Supporters are living up to that standard.
Oh, well then…
Trump’s Jewish Adviser: He’s Not Responsible For Anti-Semitic Supporters
Say what, then just why the fuck is he/she/it and advisor…you are reflected by those you surround yourself with…
You don’t think he should be held responsible, Jason? Well I do. Because when you run the most openly racist campaign for President since George Wallace, it’s to be expected you’ll draw in a racist crowd. There’s a certain cause and effect at work there. It’s not entirely random.
But his campaign did vet and approve seperationists that want to to overthrow the government and kill all of its officials to be his delegates.
It will be interesting to see him walk this one back, because he actually IS responsible, since his campaign did check into their background and approved them to be his delegates.
The Sour Kraut at work.
when his California court case about Trump U is settled and then he has to move on to New York…
And the big reveal in that article was that she has a half-brother that she found out about later in life. Big deal - same thing happened to me. I found out a couple of years ago that my mother had two children out-of-wedlock before she married my father. I don’t consider it shameful. Times were hard in Germany back then and if a young girl ended up shacking up with a GI, well, that’s the way it was.
Trump’s employs a Jew whose job is to step in and defend his anti semitism currently directed at those journalists with those giveaway Jewishy names. It’s probably his copy of Mein Kampf trump keeps on his night table.
Those of us who are Boomers grew up with kids whose parents who were either victims of the Holocaust or knew them.
I cannot imagine anyone knowledgeable of these things being involved in any way with Trump.
He’s just another token idiot that’s allowed himself to be used for partisan gain…Can’t get any lower than that imo, other than actually being those assholes spewing that kind of hate in the first place. But giving tRumpf a pass on incitement is right up there with disgusting and mind-boggling. Its called paid damage control and no doubt an integral part tRumpf’s asinine PR strategy. It’s not likely to work or fool anyone, because spinning your way out of being a hater is a lot more complicated than one token Jew chosen to make excuses for his boss’s low-life behavior. Same goes for token Blacks, Hispanics, women, or the rare Muslim in support of tRumpf. Its all PR damage control, unlikely to work at any level except for those idiots that already support this man and have no problem with his bigotry at any stage of his campaign…so long as the check is in the mail.
“Well, you can’t blame the great and glorious Mr. trump. The blame must surely be put upon the shoulders of the Allied forces during WWII. If they had just minded their own business and let Germany attend to it’s own business, we wouldn’t have to worry about any of this pesky anti-Semitism, would we? After all, it truly wouldn’t exist anymore.”
The Teabagger Reasoning of the Donald Trump Campaign. And a big wet kiss to Koncentration Kamp Kapo Jason Greenblatt!
