Meanwhile in Carson City
Can’t someone take away the man-baby’s phone? The rest of the world really does not need to read his whining, incoherent “tweets.” He’s a worthless troll.
Were his tactics ham-handed? Or cocktail wiener-fingered? I get confused.
Leaves Senate Flailing
Oh GOOD … At least they’ll all match now …
Reading this I can’t help but think about pundits during President Obama’s term–not fox crazies, ostensibly intelligent people who I usually like such as Chris Matthews–endlessly whining that, if only the President would schmooze with and be more social with opposition senators, they would join him on legislation. Republicans. Who describe him as the devil and even then wouldn’t condemn this asshole in the white house for questioing his citizenship.
And mr President of the constant state of lowered expectations is just assumed to be as he’s portrayed here, corrupt and vile, lashing out at his supposed allies with no subtlety, no plan, no discipline. “Sad” is so easy to overuse these days but it doesn’t begin to describe what passes for leadership in the GOP.
Donnie is such a great negotiator… BwaaaaHaHaHaHa. Loser!!
“He’s thinking of them as underlings and he’s the CEO. But he’s not
Congress’ CEO, he’s the president of the United States. They don’t work
for him, they work for their constituents.”
Sounds like we’re about to find out.
Senators don’t have advantage of heavily gerrymandered districts full of Trump adoring voters. But GOP voters still love him, and this has to be a lot of pressure on them. .
This is going to be interesting. When does leadership break with Trump? Or do they ever?
At the meeting, he threatened bill critic Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), asking as TV cameras rolled if he wants to “remain a senator,” and demanded the Senate stay in session through the summer recess until they “get it done” on health care.
- Assailing members of your own party on camera with limp-dicked threats?
- Denying senators their August vacation?
You in danger, gurl.
“Any time you’re over at the White House and the president is talking to you about his opinions, it can provide a pretty strong case,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) acknowledged. “But,” she added with a laugh, “we have our strong opinions too.”
Mean Shelly won’t do as she’s told, shows no respect for POTUS. Nasty woman. Sad!
There’s nothing I can say about health care that hasn’t been said. So let me just add: all the shit Obama took for that tan suit he wore one day and we’re just gonna let Donald look like that?
Trump’s Ham-Handed, Incoherent Health Care Message . . .
In this case, that’s not just an expression of speech – Trump’s hands are actually covered with ham residue.
Many of them aren’t up in 2018 or 2020. Every day brings us closer to the moment Lisa Murkowski tells Donnie to fuck off.
From your mouth to God’s ears.
If the blow him off, it was be an epic rebuke.
I think the argument at this point is that they don’t have to break with him, they can just ignore him.
And so long as nobody rocks the boat, that might be partly true. We might be able to trust the keel of the ship of state to keep us from swirling completely into the gyre. That said, I do not relish the thought of what will happen when some terrorist attack or whatever does happen and the howling shitgibbon is compelled to use the powers of his office to respond.
I have an idea, but Doug Jones would have to defeat Roy Moore.
I realize GOP Senators are, by definition, spineless weasels, but even so, at this point, why would any of those voting no even bother to go? Just leave a “sorry, but the Senator is a meeting” response to the Cheetoh Emperor’s summons.
I now desperately want this to happen. Trump would, naturally, turn to Twitter and go apeshit that “his senators” won’t meet with him.
