Not to perpetuate the MD vs DO battle too much, but I think you’re overstating the similarities here. DOs go through a completely different program structured around osteopathic treatment (“whole body” treatments) rather than one centered around allopathic (“symptom/disease” treatments). Pre-med is roughly identical, although DO schools are generally more accepting of lower-end pre-med students. Residencies are very different typically, with DO often taking more of an apprentice type role rather than a residency role.
In the end, the medical exam is the same, but there are very significant philosophical differences between the two.
Just going into my own opinion here, but I find DOs to be generally very, um, “woo-filled”, often recommending sounds-good treatments rather than clinically supported treatments. Assuming the President has some say in picking his doctor, it doesn’t surprise me at all that someone like Trump would pick a DO from the slate of potential candidates.
That said, you can have “laid back” allopathic doctors (MDs) as well, and I think what likely drew Trump’s interest more than anything is the sort of “well, that seems to be working for you since you’re still kicking and aren’t telling me of any issues you are having” doctor than any understanding of what an osteopath vs allopath.
Good health? I think this lying medic should lose his license. Where’s Ronny what’s-his-name when you need him? I enjoyed his superlatives when speaking of tRumumps’ health. Then tRumpus turned around and ruined his life. Nice one!
None will ever happen. He has a Get Out of Jail Free Card, and will use it when his boss says to. He can knock the table over with everybody’s chips and cards going with it. He cannot possibly lose. Schiff and Lew are just not facing reality. Just like when his people are subpoenaed and fail to appear or answer. Court holds in contempt, orders that particular trumpet to jail. Putinesca orders a Pardon. Over.
