Discussion: Trump's Business Plan: Turn Company Over To Sons, No Blind Trust

Well, I guess it’s time for us to just roll over and take it for 4 years while his entire family rapes this country for all it’s worth. (Take that in all its many meanings.)

“President Trump can’t un-know he owns Trump Tower,” she said, noting it would be “impossible” to find a “competent” trustee to control all of the company’s assets.

The orange dipshit manchild should have thought about that before he decided to run for president.

So impeachment hearings scheduled for 1/21/2017?

So, we’re just going to start with institutional corruption on Day One. I guess the onus is now on Congressional Republicans to deal with the numerous violations of the law to come.

Oh, that’s right. Jason Chaffetz is still too busy investigating Hillary’s email server.

Anybody who thinks he won’t be involved in his businesses is basically as stupid as a Trump voter. The press needs to front-page how ridiculous this is.

This is a level of grift unseen in world history.

Yay! American Exceptionalism! We Rock!

Dillon said that Trump’s instruction to terminate more than 30 pending deals had cost the family “millions” of dollars.

Sorry, but I cannot think of a single reason why any American citizen should give a rat’s patootie about that.
He freely chose to do this, and now he wants to rewrite the rules.

Oh Yeah, he’s a conservative alright - standard behavior for a leading member of the modern conservative movement *

* which is nothing at all like an actual conservative, fiscally

Well, the reality is that he ran for president as a ploy to boost his brand and make more money, and that was clear to most people paying attention, he did not expected to win, but now that the incredibly stupid americans voted him in, he is being presented with a unique and incredible opportunity, and he like most rich people only care about themselves and he is not going to let it pass, much less liquidate his business empire.

How the rubes in the Mid-West ever thought that this man was ever going to deliver them is beyond my comprehension, and probably Trump’s too, but he’s sure going to profit from it.

Ali Velshi (sp?) just destroyed the lawyer’s description of what Trump will do with his businesses. He said this doesn’t address ANY of the conflict-of-interest issues which was been raised.

Letting his kids run the business is not a trust. It’s jut different management.

I was going with the same quote, but along the lines of, “That’s precisely why he has to un-own it!” I think we might be looking at the new ‘ethics’ executive at the Trump Organization too.

The most astonishing thing Trump said was that he had only become aware of the need to disentangle himself from his businesses three months ago.

The man has no idea what he is doing.

So the corruption will be right out in front.

Awesome.

(sigh)

This and all the intel crap is why the EC was set up to prevent a moron like him from getting into office. Also shows how money allows morons to “succeed” in spite of themselves, eg. Kardashians and the many other hollywood types.

The part about not selling the business to his offspring because of the debt issues is baloney. He’s not selling the business to his offspring because a) he still intends to be involved in it and b) selling would involve placing some kind of valuation on it.

When the president’s family visits the white house for business discussions, are those visitor logs subject to FOI?

I wonder if Trump ever really thought he was going to win before he actually did.
