I increasingly imagine an isolated, deluded Colonel Kurtz, alone in his bunker, bemoaning all those who have left him and let him down, talking ultimately only to his last friend, a disconnected cell phone where he still hears voices praising him, and sends out unread tweets.
He’ll spend the rest of his days in a futile effort to rid him of the stench. Not that it will matter, given the company he’ll likely keep. They won’t even notice, given their own odious fumes.
And, like Frederick Douglass, his contributions-to-come are already being spoken of far and wide.

Jordan Karem, the personal aide who has served as Trump’s “body man” and director of Oval Office operations since March, will be leaving the White House. He assumed the combined roles held by longtime Trump aides John McEntee and Keith Schiller.
McEntee had a gambling habbit-left in March 2018, Schiller left in 2017, so 9 months seems about right for a long term supporter.
