Maybe HM The Queen will develop a headache this afternoon, before the tea with Donald ? The most diplomatic (and stinging) response.

“I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London,” he said.

Yes, one vacuous blimp in London at a time is more than enough.

On TLW last evening Lawrence said pp told the Sun (?) that under his watch US GDP has gone up like 2 or 3 times, implying doubled/tripled. [note to TPM staff: insert “Sure Jan” GIF here]

trying to find quote…

in meantime enjoy some of his other madness:

Donald Trump is a Russian agent. We know that now.

Europe, don’t invite him over. Don’t meet with him or with anyone in his administration. Don’t talk about him. Don’t comment on his “policies” to the press. Pretend America doesn’t exist for a while.

Above all, don’t worry.

The oligarchs won’t allow any harm to their profits, especially not war.

Trump can dodge London’s protests – but Scotland is ready for him

Erik Prince and Elliot Broidy would tend to disagree with that assessment.
War is good biz for a lot of peeps.

The entire situation is unreal. But to zoom in on one thing, wtf is up with all this handholding with May? They walk around like 4-year-olds. It’s the weirdest thing.

It is time for the Media at Large to start saying what the entire World, and most of us in the United States who did not vote for Donald Trump already know: He is totally unqualified for being President of the United States. He thinks being President is the same job as being a professional celebrity, which is the only thing he has been his entire adult life, and spouting his impulsive impressions and long held Eugenics based prejudices. He is out of his depth, in Diplomacy, in International Security, in Domestic Policy. He is incompetent. And he was only elected President by a collaboration of Russian Intelligence, the Deep Affluent Right of this country, and the Dixiecrat GOP Party of Traitors.

from the Evening Standard’s own blistering editorial:

On every level, Mr Trump is wrong. He is ungracious, ill-mannered, boorish, ignorant, bigoted, bullying and — with the damage he is doing to the western alliance and global free trade — he is a danger.

“Trump also blamed recent terrorist attacks there on Khan, who is a Muslim. The president claimed Europe is “losing its culture” because of immigration from the Middle East and Africa.”

That got a quiet wow from me. Russia is working hard to put this country and Europe in total discord. Still feel that the time line has accelerated. That statement is pretty bold. Time is short for Trump and Russia. Mueller may be the stick in their spokes and they know it.

I think it is an extension of trying to dominate the person and situation. Equivalent to that person who puts a firm hand on your shoulder when talking. I hate that personally. Frequently seen with the executive set dealing with the common worker in the office.

The military-industrial complex would disagree en masse. Why do you think Trump is so eager for Europe to increase its “defense” spending. Who do you think they are going to buy their new weaponry from?

Did you notice the three F-35s in the RAF flyover earlier this week. It was quite an achievement. It was the first time they’ve been able to get all three of them in the air at the same time.

watch the short vid here and notice pp’s facial expressions. I hate that guy with the fires of a 1000 suns.

In my movie version of events, he shows up for tea with the queen and she introduces him to Robert Mueller and a squad of G-men who haul him off in cooperation with MI6 and Secret Service.

I think the British should hold a referendum on whether Trump should be allowed a state visit or not.

“If they do a deal like that, we would be dealing with the European Union instead of dealing with the U.K., so it will probably kill the deal,”

Why? The UK made a choice to leave the E.U.but both are our allies. So why would a deal with one be rejected because it might have positive effects on the other? I think Krugman got it right today. This chaos and devastation is what Trump wants. He deon’t want to fix or improve things. He wants the adulation his base will give him for tearing things down. After he gets it he’ll walk away from the ruins and claim he’s the greatest at his next rally.

Who would want to be POTUS after this guy?
