Discussion: Trump: Woodward Book Is 'Fiction' Meant To 'Interfere' In Kavanaugh Hearing

More of a distraction, if you ask me. I wish it had come out last week.

If it only was fiction…

The comment follows a report that Trump is quietly conducting a witch hunt to figure out which aides may have betrayed him.

Mr President, you could save considerable time looking for the one loyal person who hasn’t betrayed you.

Trump called Woodward a “Dem operative”…

Even Richard Nixon’s ghost just called bullsh-t on that.

Undoubtedly, Woodward spent a year or 18 months or whatever researching and writing the book, and the publisher planned for publication and marketing before Justice Kennedy announced his retirement, just to interfere with the hearing. Transparently true.

Meanwhile…

@AriFleischer
I’ve been on the receiving end of a Bob Woodward book. There were quotes in it I didn’t like. But never once - never - did I think Woodward made it up. Anonymous sources have looser lips and may take liberties. But Woodward always plays is straight. Someone told it to him.

      When you’ve lost Ari fucking Fleischer…

Dear Prez,

I can see from your sadness that you now wish you hadn’t listened to that terrible advice from your (backstabbing) staff about not talking to Woodward. What do they know, after all?

And another thing! Your droopy dog lawyer, John Dowd, the one who said that you should never talk to Mueller, he turned right around and called you a dumbbell. Are you going to take this? Or are you going to show them how it’s done by marching yourself over to Mueller’s office for that interview all your disloyal staff have been trying to keep you from doing?

He claims that the Dems are out to destroy both Medicare and SS and yet offers no proof. Says just look at what they’re doing. Then states he is saving both programs but offers no specifics. Something, something about medical insurance plans but again nothin’ And the sniffing gives away that he is desperate.

The President also suggested that Woodward was hungry for “publicity.”

Yes, absent the release of a book Woodward is bereft of any methods or avenues of garnering publicity. People don't even recognize him when he walks into a room.

Perhaps but I think it is for him. The more the shit hits the fan the deaper the hole he digs. It is a matter of time now.

If you have a brother-in-law or some other relative that is a vulgar, lying, idiotic sociopath the decision to keep your distance and say “Don’t look at me, I didn’t bring the mofo to this party!” is a pretty easy call to make. But Trump loyalists have to stick with the guy, a vulgar, lying, idiotic sociopath.

Sheesh.

I still want to see the hand that’s not typing that tweet.

wow, the dislogic is strong in this one

Woodward wrote his book because he knew Kennedy was going to retire and that Kavanot was going to be nominated and his hearings held at the exact time that Woodward’s book was to be released. Genius!

And if its fiction, shouldn’t the dotard be psyched that his employees duped the great Woodward with lies, no need for a witch hunt then

tRUmp, puttin’ the tard in dotard every minute of every day
