I suspect it’s a prong in Operation Chaos. The White House, panicking about their midterm prospects, ousted Haley so they can appoint an absolute lunatic in her place. That’ll gin up the base, they hope, to stem slaughter at the polls.

I’ve never seen much in the way of intellectual heft from Haley.
When she would be asked about the confederate flag at the state capitol she would say “the corporations never asked about it” Then post Charleston she finally found her soul.
When massive flooding, the worst in a century occurred a few years ago as governor Haley wouldn’t acknowledge backed by scientific consensus that the impact was attributed to climate change. No wonder why she was Trumps tool at the UN and laughed at by member nations.
