More obstruction. Lock the motherfu€k€r up!
There’s only one way around all this obstruction…
It is now all obstruction all the time.
“continues to owe certain duties and obligations to the President which he is not free to disregard.”
For example?
McGahn “continues to owe certain duties and obligations to the President which he is not free to disregard.”
McGahn resigned October 17, 2018. The former White House Counsel owes “obligations” to the President?
Trump gets to order that his son or his ex-lawyer not respond to subpoenas and the press is like, “Well, then!” Even the Secretary of the Treasury is not beholden to follow the President’s every whim, but in what world are private individuals bound by his extralegal pronouncements?
Wow. Totally did NAZI that coming.
Defying a Congressional subpoena should come at a high cost for McGahn. And if he does love this country, he will be there.
Guess he’ll just have to be jailed and disbarred rather than conform with his obligations to appear under the law… Shucks.
“His private attorneys have argued in court that Congress has no authority to launch investigations into whether Trump has committed crimes, claiming that sort of “law enforcement” investigation is solely the prerogative of the executive branch.”
Is there a risk of disbarment? Who would file the complaint?
Lock him up.
For someone who blathered his innocence, proclaimed there was "no collusion and no obstruction,’ one would think he has something to hide. The present legal jeopardy is McGahn’s and Donnie wants him to take the bullet so he doesn’t have to later. Typical Donnie.
He and McConnell are working on him being able to enforce that on all of us.
So, why would McGahn listen to Trump? I don’t think they have a very friendly relationship.
Does this qualify as”witness tampering” yet?
@inversion Thanks it is an informative thread.
You’re basing your argument on McGahn wanting to testify.
