Just reading now about Trump telling an Army sergeant’s widow that “he knew what he signed up for” but “it hurts anyway.” Again and again and again, a new low, a new shock, a new surge of shame and pain that we chose this broken, crippled creature to lead us. We’ve caused a war widow more pain than she felt already. Shaking my head. When will it end? How long can this go on?

The Repub leadership will do nothing because of their utter fixation with tax cuts for the 1%, which I don’t think will happen anyway. We will need criminal indictments out of Mueller and a Democratic House to impeach. Even then it will be tough to cut this tick out of the body politic. I don’t think McConnell has the guts or principles to lead that effort in the Senate. Only if there is a major threat to the Repub Senate majority, from allowing Trump to remain, will we see any real action to get rid of him.
There’s no question that he’s an absolute monster. It’s hard to grasp just how venal, vicious and stupid he really is. And there’s no bottom to his depravity.
