Discussion: Trump VA Pick On Rocks Over Allegations Of ‘Hostile Work Environment,’ ‘Excessive Drinking’

Geez.

How long is the list of (underqualified) people who were dazzled by fancy positions and titles that were dangled before their eyes by (an increasingly desperate) Spanky?

ETTD. Particularly reputations.

I see what you did there, Nicole.

They really need to focus on the fact that Jackson lacks the skill set required for the job.

Strange hole in the CBS story, because “hostile work environment” usually means some sort of harassment, but there’s nothing about that mentioned.

It’s what happens when you don’t vet, and/or when you do your vetting office is staffed with overaged frat boys playing drinking games in the office.

Perfectly qualified for a position in Trump’s administration.

Excessive drinking? Dr. Ronny had to have been blind-drunk when he issued his report on Fat Donny’s better-than-perfect health.

Since when has any Republican cared if someone is qualified in the way WE think of that term.

Qualified to a Republican means you are on you knees ready and willing to like the shit off of Trump’'s boots. That is the only quality they value.

Even the vets go unvetted.

Pathetically appropriate.

Actually, Spanky does the vetting himself. It goes like this:

  1. Will you always tell me what I want to hear?
  2. Will you promise me your personal loyalty?

If the candidate answers “yes” to both questions, the vetting was successful.

NOTE: work or educational qualifications play no role in the process.

Something many of us suspected at the time…

Blackout drunk? Roofies? I said what??

Finally we have an explanation of where all the bennies and goofballs are coming from.

But let’s face it, if you were this President’s physician, you might drink on the job too. I know I would consider it, if I thought I could get away with it. Numb is the only way to deal with these assholes up close and personal.

He could just be an asshole.

Who doesn’t want this guy to run a major medical organization?

this is going to end up being the worst thing that ever happened to this guy https://t.co/Vh90T2aXGZ via @TPM

Jackson has been involved with the White House through three administrations now? Are these allegations over recent behavior or career long? Not a fan of him taking over the VA simply because his career track did not put him in that direction. But seems a bit late for these other issues to show up.
