Discussion: Trump Trashes Democrats' Medicare For All Plan In Op-Ed

you see, now this right here is why we can’t have nice things…

Republicans contend that the proposal would be cost-prohibitive and argue it marks government overreach.

Tax cuts that cost trillions and transfer wealth to the 1%? Now those, those we can haz.

tRump the phony wants us to believe he wrote an op-ed that has more different words in it than exist in his entire vocabulary. If it had truly come from him, it would have been be the word “sad” in capital letters, repeated 250 times. tRump writes? He barely reads.

Also there are no exclamation points !!!

This shows how stupid they believe the GOP faithful really is… It is scary.

Republicans very much want to end Medicare, and funnel all that money — a huge amount of money — into the pockets of their billionaire donors.

Their challenge is convincing their Medicare-dependent base to be scared enough to elect more Republicans, so the Party can build enough power to kill it whether anyone likes it or not.

They don’t care about our well-being. They want our money.

Trump “wrote” an op-ed?

Just kidding… somebody wrote an op-ed for Trump, which begs the question. Why does someone who is mobbed by reporters every time he steps outside the Whitehouse need to “pen” an op-ed? Does he not already have enough of a bully pulpit to spread his B.S. on a daily basis?

Seriously don’t know why anyone would listen to this dickhead bloviate about anything, but especially on healthcare. I bet your average Trumpkin’s 1 IQ point that dotard’s never even seen a medical bill, much less be able to comprehend one.

Trump wrote something? An op-ed?
I didn’t think they would let him have crayons… fearing he’d eat them.

Nancy “Pay-Go” Pelosi gave her enthusiastic endorsement of Medicare for All by saying, "it’s all on the table.”

“When they come to Congress, any of those subjects can be on the table,” Pelosi said.

I am sure she’ll be fighting hard for it.

No wonder we lose.

I hope someone analyzes the op-ed’s text so we can figure out who wrote it for him.

The $717 billion Defense Dept. budget is about $12 billion shy of the sum needed to expand government health insurance to the 200 million citizens who have private or no insurance at all. Structured the right way, Medicare for All could reduce the US health care cost by $2 Trillion. Europe has had single payer health insurance covering all citizens from birth to death, much better than Medicare for All, for over 1/2 century. When I visited Europe first time in 1969, it was in place there then.

LOL, I swear on my mom that I wondered before opening the discussion page if there would be a certain someone that would turn what trump said into an attack on a Democrat/Democrats. And sure enough, the usual suspect lived up to his usual form a couple posts up.

As for the Op-ed, he’s talking to his base like he always does. He never has been the unifier he claimed he would be and instead is making things worse for the Country by attacking Democrats in this way. I can’t wait until he’s out of office, he’s not good for the US.

Re: "Trump, omitting any mention of improved benefits for seniors that Democrats promise, writes in an op-ed published Wednesday in USA Today … "

Fake news. Trump didn’t write this. I’d bet the rent he hasn’t even read it.

You are making the point that I wanted to make. Healthcare in other countries covers way more people than here. So why is it that they, those weak feeble countries can do something that the US can’t, and won’t even consider?
