It also says you can be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors.

It truly is astonishing - “his” healthcare replacement, actually produced by Speaker Ryan and his gremlins, went down in flames due to rank incompetence by Ryan, Bannon, and his little old self; augmented by the mobilization of liberals, moderates, AARP, the AMA, hospitals, and the resounding “Uh, wha? NOOOOOO!!!” from his semiconscious base.
Therefore, HE is in the catbird seat and Democrats have to beg him to save the ACA? I don’t think so.
Edit to add: suspending contractual payments is, um, illegal last time I checked. And illegal activities just may have complications, constitution-wise.

This is Trump’s “art of the deal” in a nutshell. After the other side has agreed to something, and done what it promised, he refuses to pay them so they will “negotiate” down from what he owes.
He hasn’t a clue how the insurance marketplace works. God, he is an embarrassment…

Some things would arguably be illegal for him to do…but it won’t happen anyway. The insurance industry would have his orange head on a platter for it and it would be basically impossible for him to hide that he’s deliberately fucking everything up just to “break it to prove it’s broken.” Insurers would end up explaining this to their angry insureds to cover their own asses and so it wouldn’t just be the insurance industry looking for his head on a platter, but also the portion of the voting public that remains at least half sane.

The questioon I have, though, is it possible that he’s screwing up this plan by telegraphing it? It’s been speculated for some time now that this is what he and his partners in crime will do, but now he’s openly admitting it.
