I’ve got $88 that says that’s a list of 88 old white guys.
I got one penny that says they never signed the letter.
Has anyone checked to make sure the bio’s are correct, and that they ever actually existed?
I mean, they are Drumpf surrogates…
Having served (unlike trumplethinskin) I noticed that cream is not the only thing that rises to the top. Scum does to.
Eighty Eight. Interesting. I’m sure there’s nothing to that.
Well, in fairness, all of the Admirals and Generals could be Russian…
I went to read the letter itself, and it kind of terrifies me to have 88 generals saying they are looking for a president to “restore law and order domestically.” Military leaders demanding law and order leads to bad results.
Also, too, considering that crime is way down in the United States over the past 25 years where Democratic presidents served two-thirds of the time, it shows a lack of judgement.
Also, three, Mother Jones notes that Romney had 500 generals backing him.
We should be glad they’re all retired:
“I know more about ISIS than the generals do. Believe me.”
Donald Trump
"You have so many countries already -- China, Pakistan, you have so many countries, Russia -- you have so many countries right now that have them," Trump said in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin town hall televised by CNN. "Now, wouldn't you rather, in a certain sense, have Japan have nuclear weapons when North Korea has nuclear weapons?"
Trump said that the United States spends too much money protecting countries like Japan and Saudi Arabia, but "we can't afford to do it anymore."
CNN moderator Anderson Cooper pointed out that it's been U.S. policy for decades to prevent Japan from getting a nuclear weapon. Trump responded, "Maybe it's going to have to be time to change, because so many people -- you have Pakistan has it, you have China has it. You have so many other countries are now having it."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The GOP front-runner asserted that the U.S. also "cannot be the policeman of the world" when it comes to allies in the Asia Pacific region, suggesting he would like to see Japan and South Korea develop nuclear weaponry in order to combat North Korea.
"Unfortunately, we have a nuclear world now," Trump said. "Would I rather have North Korea have [nuclear weapons] with Japan sitting there having them also? You may very well be better off if that's the case. In other words, where Japan is defending itself against North Korea, which is a real problem."
He called the current U.S. relationship with Japan "a pretty one-sided agreement" because "if we're attacked, they do not have to come to our defense."
But "if they're attacked," he said, "we have to come totally to their defense. And that is a -- that's a real problem."
Trump would be open to withdrawing U.S. forces from Japan and South Korea if the two nations did not give more to the costs of keeping those troops in the area.
A list of 88 people who also are as deranged and out of touch as Donald Trump? Sad.
It’s poetic that a fascist is touting 88 anything. Can’t wait for his 14 immigration advisers.
Well, we held out against military juntas for well over 200 years. I guess it was just a matter of time.
I just learned that ‘88’ is a neo-Nazi abbreviation for ‘Heil Hitler’.
And where do these military brass go to work when they retire?
Their newly formed company - Southern Border Security, LLC
I served in the Marines for 25 years and do not recognize more than one or two names on this list. My bet is that most of these retired flag officers are over 80 years old. If some one had the time to do a search it would be interesting to see the results.
If you say that you are a foreign policy expert and then say you are going to vote for Trump then you really are not an expert.
All retired.
As former enlisted, want to know what makes us distrust a person or plan fastest?
Tell us the Generals and Admirals (particularly retired ones) like it.
Soon as we hear that our first thought is “Well, it sounded like a clusterfuck of stupid and the rambling of people detached from reality… Now we know it is”
Not really relevant - I’m pretty sure that active duty officers are prohibited from endorsing candidates.
If Donald Trump’s lips are moving, YOU know he lying.
Yup. That’s the joke.
