Discussion: Trump To Visit Ohio As Part Of 2020 Blitz On The Midwest

President Obama won Ohio and Florida twice. It’d be nice to have his ground game in those states in 2020.

And I’d like to see the Dems remind voters in Ohio, PA, Mich., Ind. Wisc, that it was Obama and the D-controlled Congress that saved the auto (and by extension, the steel, rubber and glass) industries in the midwest. This was after W. tanked the economy and the R’s barely lifting a finger to help repair the damage done.

“He’s a fighter,” said Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken

If you have to pick a fight with a dead man, you’re not much of a fighter.

Oh, a Trump rally, 1.5 hours of improvised bullshit from the Vulgarian in Chief, followed by chants of “lock her up” and “finish the wall”. I can hardly wait.

Sadly, Trump’s “blitz” of the midwest is already being felt there. He must think it’s Dresden.

GM Plant visit?

BTW Did Pence ever make it to Nebraska or did mother make him stay home? Total news blackout? I have seen no reporting…

“He’s a fighter,” said Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken, “and that’s one of the reasons why if you look at the Mahoning Valley, that’s become a Republican portion of the state.”

Pepper, the Democratic chair, blasted Trump’s criticism of the UAW leader, comparing it to Republican Mitt Romney’s pre-2012 column opposing the Obama-era auto bailout program,” saying, “Trump couldn’t have offended more of the nerves that are at the heart of the valley than he just did.”

For those not familiar with the state of Ohio, both quotes are referring to the same location - Lordstown is located close to Youngstown, which is located on the Mahoning River.

One thing not mentioned in the article - Lordstown was an employment bright spot for the region when Youngstown’s steel industry went into decline along with the rest of the “rust belt”. How many steel jobs have returned to Youngstown because of trump’s policies? And how do these compare to the impact trump’s tariffs and his ending of pro-electric car policies had on GM and the demand for the Chevy Cruze?

The Mahoning Valley voted strongly for Obama, but went for trump by 6 points in 2016 - Democrats need to keep asking voters: “How did that work out for you?”

Ohio is only going to get more red. The tanks they are building in Lima are going straight into a boneyard or they are selling them to other governments.

Considering the ageS of Biden, Sanders, Clinton, Warren and tramp, actuarily how many of them will be dead by Inauguration Day 2021?

The thing that pisses me off is he gets to use mostly tax payer dollars for these trips, when every penny should be coming out of his 2020 campaign.

Yep. Pissed me off when W used our money to campaign. There should be laws against it but Trump would ignore them if there were.
