Discussion: Trump To Meet With Japanese PM Shinzo Abe On Thursday

Hey, it’ll go great. Trump can explain that the interment camps are for Muslims this time, and that he’s great friends with the Asians.

that Trump’s transition team told him not to take Trump’s comments on the campaign trail literally, according to CNN.

PM Shinzo Abe will be disappointed to find out that although TrumpCo does sell nukes, you have to bring your own shopping bags.

Japan has too many Asian CEOs.

Is Trump meeting with Abe before meeting with our State Department and our military leaders?

Yes.

He has already made a number of phone calls to world leaders, including Abe, without any sort of briefing at all.

He will be walking into this briefing the same way. Indeed, his transition team isn’t planning on even showing up for the first meeting with State until Friday.

So Trump is meeting with a head of state sometime today, somewhere I’m guessing in NYC, about stuff. And nobody from TrUmps team have contacted anyone from The State Department to discuss protocol (with an Asian country no less where protocol,is very important). And this is an administration that will command respect?

EDIT: AND one of TrUmps surrogates is going on tv talking about how great the Japanese internment camps are. If I thought he was an introspective person, I’d suggest visiting the little known Japanese-American Memorial to Patriotism During WWII.

When Trump visits Japan, I hope they don’t insult him by presenting a plate of fugu with one piece missing. That could cause an incident!!

I’m sure they’ll get him a bucket of KFC.

Unless he has a golf course there, I wouldn’t count on it.

Nah, he deserves the entire fish. All that tetrodotoxin stuff is just pseudoscience; made up by the Japanese so they can corner the market on eating puffer fish.

James Fallows, whose knowledge of how business is done at these levels is probably second to none, said it was like getting into a car blindfolded and flooring it.

Trump’s intro: “I love the Japanese. I really like Benihana.”

I’m laughing already. This stuff writes itself. LOL! Can’t you hear him:

“Look it Abe, let’s order up some Chinese before we start talking. You like Sesame chicken? Steve, get Abe some chicken. I’ll take the kung bo. Love the kung bo shrimp. Love the shrimp.”

An aide to Abe, Katsuyuki Kawai, told Japanese broadcaster NHK that Trump’s transition team told him not to take Trump’s comments on the campaign trail literally, according to CNN.

^^ THIS ^^ is one of the dangers right here.

The idea that nothing that Rump says should be taken seriously. Yeah, it’s all just a bunch of BS. That is, until he gets into office and it’s not that Rump is serious but his - “Cabinet.” Then, the idea of bringing back internment camps, this time for Muslims, is a pretty good idea.

Because, he look how it worked on the Japs.

I can foresee that by the time this debacle is over, America will no allies except for the Russians.

Yeah, well, dont take anything he says to your face literally either, you credulous idiots.

He doesnt need briefings or advice from state. Hes not conducting state business…he simply conducting his own, and you can be sure he sees it that way.

So that’s why he spent so much on hats. He knew he would be wearing so many at all times.

Hey, no problem, Donnie’s got it all under control: Abe is going to get a private preview of Donnie’s gilt tchotchkes (before the TV show! Wow!), and then he’s gonna make a little home video with Abe, 'cause, you know, he always dreamed of being a Hollywood mogul… Then he’s gonna send him home with a personally signed “Make America Great Again” hat.

“There has been a lot of confusion,” a Japanese official told Reuters.

Well I blame it all on the Japanese, Trump never does anything confusing.
