Trump traveling to Davos is the equivalent of exporting embarrassment.
Hmm I wonder which administration officials will tag-a-long? Will Co-Presidents Kelly and Miller be there? Will Davos stick O(range) B(aby) in the corner?
Trump To Face Mixed Welcome At World Economic Forum In Davos This Week

Just don’t get between Two Scoops and a camera.
Perhaps the Swiss can be convinced to keep Trump in the space vacated by Ă–tzi the Iceman for a few centuries,
There’s a report over at WaPo on who is going to Switzerland:
“Trump officials en route to Switzerland include: Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin leading the bunch, with appearances by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer — along with senior adviser Jared Kushner, Thomas Bossert, a top counterterrorism and homeland security adviser, USAID Administrator Mark Green, and FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb.”
One can only hope they will be seeking asylum.
Let him speak last to an empty auditorium.
Preen and strut. That’s Donnie two scoops.
“Ugh, here we go.”
“I find it quite sad he’s coming to the WEF, but I imagine nothing can be done about it,” said Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard, a longtime disciple of the Dalai Lama.
This does not sound like a quote of a longtime disciple of the Dalai Lami to me.
What does it say when you can turn the Pope’s smile upside down and make a Buddhist monk rebuke one’s presence?
The ongoing NAFTA talks have been a complete bust, and many in Canada and Mexico fear the US will soon drop out of the agreement.
Almost 30 international trade deals have been signed or are in negotiations this past year. The US is a party to NONE of them.
Trump’s nativist “America First” position is alienating us from our allies and trading partners and leaving the US more isolated.
Trump will be received at Davos as the proverbial turd in the punch bowl.
