Trump is able to upend the protections under the 1906 Antiquities Act, which gives the president broad authority to declare federal lands as monuments and restrict their use.

The law giveth, and the short-fingered vulgarian taketh away. WTF is wrong with these people? Looks like piss-poor grazing for anything other than goats; but maybe there’s yew-ranium in them thar rocks. We desperately need more to replace what Hilary sold to Rooskies.

Trump’s only outside activity is golf, so it’s not surprising that he is clueless on preserving national parks and natural monuments.

Donald Trump: Wrong man. Wrong place. Wrong job. Wrong time.

I was assuming he was going to take some of that land to create a king Trump Golf Resort and Luxury (Classless) Hotel. Or perhaps have his sons develop a Scions casino.

Well we’ve seen how well Trump respects Native Americans.

Note how the AP dutifully repeats with official line that lumps grazing in with hunting and fishing as recreational activities. Oh, right, and in Maine, clearcutting.

It seems uncharacteristically brave of the President to go where a large crowd will be protesting against him.

Ignorance is not an excuse. Trump has no authority to modify a national monument.
