At this point, he genuinely has nothing else to counter with other than revert to the ONLY script he knows. Works on the base, no one else.
I’m going to have to stand up for dogs here. Dogs can sometimes be vicious, but usually only because they’ve been mistreated or trained to be so. Otherwise, dogs are friendly, intelligent, loyal, and courageous, none of which are qualities that I associate with Trump.
He is like a certain Georgian Terrorizer, in fact.
Ramping up the racism and nativism (and using lies to support the attacks) appears to be the last gasp strategy of the Trump GOP to avert a disastrous election next month. Given the open racism and nativism of its deplorable base and no one else, such messages wouldn’t exactly encourage new voters and could backfire — at least I hope so.
And not a single tiki torch among them.
He and his are itching to militarize the southern border completely. This is their dream.

Obviously trump is unaware, as usual, of the history on the Mexican border. He should google “Operation Intercept”.
I was an undergrad at the University of Arizona and went to Nogales, Sonora, a border town south of Tucson with my parents because there was a really great restaurant there for lunch. My mom wanted to do some shopping as well. We saw the effect of a closed border first hand. It was not pretty. The border was pretty much closed down for two weeks. Fruit freshly picked rotted in their crates. Big trucks could not pass the border to get their goods to market.
Right now trump wants to do a repeat. As my Mrs. darr is increasingly fond of saying… “He’s up to dumbfuckery again”.
I am pretty sure my dog would be no fan of trump.
