Trump has put up 2 ads so far. One took Obama out of context showing him laughing over cuts to the Paris attacks. The other was HRC laughing interlaced with images of Benghazi. So his specialty is taking images waaay out of their context. Consequently we should take HIM out of context (rubs hands).

The FBI will interview family members in the course of the investigation but they don’t waterboard them as Trump has suggested. In our legal tradition we don’t throw family members of a criminal in jail because that criminal did something wrong and illegal. Consider: if a member of your family robbed a bank does that mean you should be considered guilty? Of course not.
BTW: I’m not an apologist for terrorists. I am a strong supporter of our legal traditions. That was the source of my post up thread. And I think Trump’s comments about “going after and taking out” family members of bad guys is clearly not in out legal tradition. We have already been down that road with Bush’s “Rendition” and “enhanced interrogation” that have severely damaged our international reputation and been stated to be illegal. Japanese army officers were executed after WW2 for waterboarding and using other form of torture (WB is torture) so we have clearly said waterboarding is torture in the past. Do we want to go there again when we know what the outcome will be? In fact both Cheney and Bush are under international indictment from the World Court at the Hague for their use of torture.

If the reports are correct, Farook’s mother lived in the apartment with them and the baby, where they were making bombs in the garage. It’s hard to believe she knew nothing, though it’s possible. That said, proving she knew would be difficult and I don’t believe that even if you could, that it would constitute a crime under US law unless she actively participated.
