Fair question. Maybe the Democrats want to make sure 20 million people continue to have healthcare on the go forward or maybe they want to weaken the hyper conservative wing of the GOP by resetting their relationship with Agent Orange. Sometime, someplace, someone is going to have to do some strategic thinking. All of this governing by emoticon is taking us down a dark path.
Agent Orange is a weak partner. He is more like a wisp of smoke than anything else. His word can’t be trusted, and he is easily distracted by the latest shiny object. Worse he is surrounded by even weaker advisers.

He was born a loser and attracts others just like him. There is no reason to make deals with a traitor. If you have an agenda that attacks income inequality, you will ultimately win any argument and election that the Far Right puts out there.
