I like it. However, it could be a problem when visitors can’t find his head because it blends so well with his clothes.
I guess so… I mean, if feared and mocked for what crazy shit you might do without any reason or provocation is respect, then, yeah… sure… I guess.
JFK spoke at my commencement. The midshipmen of the class of 2018, now ensigns and second lieutenants, have every right to feel cheated.
Trump doesn’t know the difference between fear and respect. In his Roy Cohn world, they’re one and the same.
And our allies are terrified.
See? Respect!
I love the otherwise empty room too. Like the sales meeting broke up already.
Even W’s Coalition of the Willing doesn’t fucking respect us.
Naval Academy graduates online were pledging to “respect the office but not the man” and refuse to clap for him. Did they?
Full disclosure: My doctor told me not to watch or listen Mighty Mouth without a snootful of gin. I hate the taste of pine needles so, obviously, I didn’t watch.
Once you’ve lost Tonga …
That’s quite a generalization. There are actually some data showing that respect for Lardass varies across the Services and between enlisted members and COs. I would predict that Naval Academy grads (who are now officers) are quite different politically from an Army grunt from Idaho who has a high school degree and a burning desire to get the hell out of his home town.
Remember when John McCain declared we were all Georgians now? It was a pleasant few minutes of bonding until he realized no one was listening.
Our allies are looking elsewhere these days - like to Putin.
just getting ready to post. here’s direct link to op-ed:
proud to say one of the authors is a former submariner.

Our son is still miffed that his degrees from Berkeley are signed by Pete Wilson and Arnold.
It’s probably the case that the young men and women who have just been graduated are well educated, more sophisticated and knowledgeable about world affairs than we imagine. Unlike the kids who come from Dumbfuck USA and join the army to get an education. Admission to the Naval Academy begins with having had an education. They might have even heard the disrespect trumpp showed to a particular Naval Officer a few years ago and formed an opinion.

Totallty OT. But is this not the weirdest ever picture of Jeff Sessions, Elvish General.
[/quote]It looks like they’re all trying to tear open one of those little packets of ketchup without it splashing on their suits. I was having trouble with one of those just the other day.
Keep deluding yourself, Numbskull Nixon. Under you “leadership” the US has become an international laughing stock that no country looks to for guidance, aid, or reliability.
Orange jumpsuit, or one with alternating black and white vertical stripes.
I wish the press would continually ask him for examples of when it was not respected and powerful. Someone make this man start putting citations to his horse hockey.
Well submariners are psychologically the best adjusted people in the service or at least they used to be. I assume they are still tested for their ability to handle life in a submarine.
