This is a smokescreen. The Trump GOP Congress has zero interest in doing anyone to defy its owner the NRA on anything.

OT, but isn’t arming teachers a really great idea? I wonder why no one ever thought of it before?

“I think it’s something you have to think about,” he said, adding: “A lot of people don’t even want to bring it up because they’re afraid to bring it up.”

Perhaps we should hope and pray that they will think about it. :expressionless:

I saw part of this “meeting.” I turned it off because it was truly an embarrassing spectacle. A first grader talking to legislators. Of course people under 21 should not be able to buy these weapons of mass destruction, but neither should those older than 21 be able to buy these.

His inept weakness is breathtaking to behold. The modern presidency has never been so limp or helpless. It has to be repeated from time to time, so that we do not forget that it isn’t normal: when the president sits in his bathrobe and watches the morning boob tube for a few hours every morning, chattering away on his social media rather than going to work, this isn’t normal.

Russian Money!!!

What is the point, if you say you want to do something to stop mass shooting but do nothing about the weapon of choice? A civil society should not have weapons of war on their streets.
