Speechless.

So…Obamacare is failing – where this is so is only because the Goopers introduced enough uncertainty to make it so.

Okay, well, let’s check back on that deductibles thing in a couple of years. Also those premiums.

And while we are at it, we’ll check back on all of the people who “don’t fall through the cracks”…

What a septic pit full of poisonous, greedy, lying, heartless worms. Celebrating robbing millions of healthcare.

That’s almost like dancing on their graves. And actually will be in some unfortunate cases.

His ignorance grows day by day. Astounding.

right. well, that’s what they do with government as a whole, too. they shriek that government is incompetent and horrible and a failure, and every time they get the reigns, they do their level best to prove it. i don’t mean that as a joke. i honestly think they govern like shit not only because they are incompetent, but because that’s their goal – make people hate and distrust the government.

As always, he’s “Trump”-eting out of his anal pore. I often wonder if he really believes his own bullshit, or if he’s actually clever and calclulating enough to be fooling all the rest of us. All signs point to the former. Sadly, smarter people in Congress and the RNC know he can be easily led to sign anything they put in front of him. I can’t wait to hear Ms. Yates’ testimony next week.

Let us consider the Aussies have a tax on the wealthy to help fund universal health care while the Chumpcare package basically gives the wealthy a huge tax cut. Not surprisingly Congress is smart enough to exclude themselves from this episode of taking benefits from their constituents.

you have better health care than we do

Sadly, he could say that to the leader of any western industrialized nation and be spot on. More sadly still, he does not comprehend the irony of this.

Again I’m struck by how, at this point, the things that really astonish me are these little throwaway moments where he shows what an erratic, featherheaded dizzbomb he is. The sadism, the ignorance, the vindictiveness somehow fade and you’re left gaping at a person who has nothing but a jumble of vague impressions where most people, from college professors to bookkeepers to auto mechanics, have a vast store of useful knowledge. It’s a magpie’s collection of shiny, worthless objects, a glass button, a foil gum wrapper, the cap of a pen. If he were just a regular person wandering through his own life, people would give each other looks and roll their eyes when he left the room. But he’s President of the United States. It just makes your own mind reel.

Complementing Australia for having better (Universal Medicare for All) health care than we do now, and then bragging about his “victory” to make our health care availability and affordability worse. He and the House Republicans don’t care that hundreds of thousands will suffer and die. Just wanted a “win.” Fuck 'em all.

So well put Matt
If he was a private citizen he would be the one you crossed over to the other side of the street to avoid

I’m not sure that’s true. His ignorance simply becomes more apparent as he speaks on an ever widening array of topics. The underlying ignorance has been there all along.

His dementia is what seems to be growing day by day with the stress of a job he’s never, on his best day, been capable of doing. Add in his lack of sleep, the fact that he’s no longer surrounded only by his paid sycophants, and his inability to mask his facade of success and this pig-eyed sack of shit is going downhill fast. Bigly.

Best analogy I heard
Lawrence Donnell:
It’s like they scored one run at the top of the first inning and are having a bench clearing celebration.

LOL. Where’s Gary Larson when we need him?

Well then, let’s do that.

“It’s a very good bill right now. The premiums are going to come down, very substantially. The deductibles are going to come down. It’s going to be fantastic health care. Right now Obamacare is failing. We have a failing health care,” Trump said. “I shouldn’t say this to our great gentleman and my friend from Australia, because you have better health care than we do.”

Jesus Christ, Donald. At least Sarah Palin would have scrawled “Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull” on her palm.

What they have done is take a crappy bill, change it to make it considerably worse and eek it through the House. The Senate won’ t even consider it in this form.

But two things stand out to me about this

  1. The Senate will be under pressure to come up with their own bill, and the entire process they are staring at now…Senate writes its own bill, sends it to committee, opens it to amendments, passes it, sends it to a joint session to hash out, then send THAT bill with its changes back to the House and then the Senate…they have kissed rest of this year goodbye, and probably a sizable chunk of next year. They and the media will be consumed with nothing else.

  2. Ryan has now completed his abdication to the HFC. He had a choice of moving the original bill towards the left or the right and he didn’t even pause, he will fully to the right, and merely pressured the non HFC members to cave. This will be his blueprint for the remainder of his time as Speaker…an empty figurehead kept in place by the HFC so they can run the House. The “moderates” are going to have very little incentive to work with Ryan on anything, and after the 2018 bloodbath they have set up with this (and there will be more now that Ryan has this blueprint) anyone that is left will have ZERO motivation to work with Ryan. Because what he has effectively said is “I don’t care about any of your seats, and will actively work with the HFC to remove you from office”

and then the midterms… and by then the rotting carcass of that bill and the poisonous town halls will have them cowering in the corner.
They will be frozen like a deer in the headlights unable to move
