"It was not at all my intention to offer or to not offend anyone, the last thing I want to do is to offend people."

"The tweet was not designed to anger or stir up the post like it did,” he added, according to The Hill. “It was designed to bring how I feel the very real reality as to why the Democratic Party and how I view it and have interpreted have been pandering and using black people just for their votes.” (“Pastor” Mark Burns)

What?? Do all of these conservative asshats have to major in Word Salad 101 to be a heavy hitter in the GOP? Seriously – What??

“I prefer the Republican party which, instead of pandering for our votes, seeks to suppress them. They choose to pander for the votes of white supremacists and bigots instead,” he added.

“I want to apologize because the last thing I want to do is to anger people. I really am a unifier,” Burns said Monday in a video on Periscope, according to The Hill. “It was not at all my intention to offer or to not offend anyone, the last thing I want to do is to offend people.”

I assume that in his position as pastor, this fellow offers life counseling to his parishioners.
That’s rather frightening.

Exactly. Burns sure used a lot of words to get that one sentiment across. Soulless fucker.

So were the folks that rounded up your kin in Africa 3 or 4 centuries ago, but they were called “slavers”.

Nothing like keeping your flock in clueless bondage.

Is there a sentient adult older than 25 in this nation that has yet to realize anything depicting a person in blackface makeup will assuredly be judged in poor taste, regardless the underlying message intended?

This is the perfect guy to tune up Trump’s religion spiel. Wholly shit.

“It was not at all my intention to offer or to not offend anyone, the last thing I want to do is to offend people.”

Really. So Hillary Clinton is not a person? And her supporters are not people? And all the African Americans you accuse of being dupes of Clinton are not people?

You need to take a good look ta the beam your eye, pastor, before pointing out the motes in others’.

“in a video on Periscope, according to the Hill.”

If the video is on Periscope, why not verify it instead of attributing it as a statement of the Hill? Then you could say, “Burns said in a video on Periscope, as reported on The Hill.” That way you have verified it as fact rather than a statement, and credited the source you got it from.

First and foremost the only reason this citizen supports Republicans is his anti-choice stand. Everything he does comes from his religious objections to a whole host of issues. Nothing else matters, and since his deity is on his side, the other side must be demons or demonized by any means necessary.

He’s sorry he tweeted a racist image to prove that Hillary is a racist pandering bigot.
