So, let me get this straight. We need to change our immigration policies because other countries have problems with immigrants committing violent acts? When most of our violent acts are committed by people like Dylan Roof and other native born Americans?

Not if it requires actual work, like drafting legislation, passing it, implementing it. Now if there were to be some grifting of funds involved to either Herr Trump or his offspring, it might be worth some effort. Meh, likely not. Governing is hard, you know.

But as an abstract, “See, I told you so. I was right.” moment, sure, he’s all for that.

What is really scary about Trump is his penchant for drawing conclusions based on very narrow and therefore fallacious paradigms. That is the kind of leadership and decision making that leads to catastrophe, especially when, as Trump seems to be doing, he is surrounding himself with an echo chamber.
