How about simply government-issued guns? Starting with new mothers’ take-home bags from the hospital, you trade in your old gun for a new, age-appropriate one. Mothers can drape their assault rifles on the back of their strollers - easy!

Don’t say things as a joke you wouldn’t want to see seized on as a great idea and put into effect. The NRA would be down with that in a big way. Just saying.

Trump’s plan is about as concrete as his imaginary wall. “A little bit of a bonus”, indeed.

A bonus for carrying a gun?

So what do these guys get?

“The report found that about 23,000 active duty service members received food stamps in 2013, according to U.S. Census data. In addition, information from the Department of Defense Education Activity showed that in September 2015, 24 percent of 23,000 children in U.S. DoDEA schools were eligible for free meals, while 21 percent were eligible for reduced-price meals.”

As I keep saying: Crossfire in the classroom, what could go wrong?

What a fn feeble minded fool!

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Couldn’t have said it as well myself.

There are about three million teachers in this country. Twenty percent is 600,000. I don’t know how much of a bonus they’d negotiate for to engage in gun battles with better-armed, better protected, highly motivated death-seeking shooters, that’s for them to decide. I don’t think “little bit” very accurately describes what this insane idea would cost even if you could put it into effect. Art of the Deal my rosy red arse.

Humble thanks. I’m a little bit obsessed. Spent the morning at a Trump-talk-free meeting and it was very refreshing.

Exactly. My sister has been a high school girls swimming coach for 25 years. I bet right now she’s trying to figure out how to keep a Glock dry, and whether it’s fair to shoot someone when they’re in the water.

NRA’s getting their moneys worth with this dolt. Remind me again why no guns are allowed at NRA headquarters? Doesn’t that make it a soft target?

My high school Latin teacher was an alcoholic who regularly threw erasers, desks, mugs, whatever was lying around at us when we acted out. I would have felt so much safer knowing, or even just guessing if, she was armed. /s

Where has his “idea” ever been tested? Where has it ever worked? On the other hand, we do have the Australian example that worked like a charm.

So, what about trained fighters? Can someone who has a black belt or a decade with Krav Maga get a bonus too? I imagine professional bouncers or anyone who’s competed in the Winter Olympics ski/shoot competition would naturally be promoted, since they can better ‘control’ the kids. Oh, sharp shooters would definitely get a bonus, especially if they’ve kept up with their skills and were willing to spend time on the school roof.

The art of the bribe. Right on time.

Next, anybody that disagrees with Dolt is ‘not patriotic’, should be immediately fired etc, etc etc.

Whiny supports the ‘fear of death’ because it would work on HIM. How it’s going to work on shooters (many of which commit suicide) is beyond me.

A “little bit” of a bonus for taking the responsibility to carry lethal force around children you’re being paid to teach. This isn’t a serious consideration even from him or his NRA bosses.

More feel-good fodder for talk radio.
