Stellar judgment, as always, Donnie.
Of course he sticks with Christie. Christie has shit on him that he doesn’t want exposed, and vice-versa.
I see two liars and thieves sticking together. Slightly OT, but Robert Reich is reporting a conversation he had with a trump supporter in Berkley. It’s as delusional as anyone would expect.
I finally found a Trump supporter – this morning when I went to buy coffee. (I noticed a Trump bumper sticker on his car.)
“Hi,” I said. “Noticed your Trump bumper sticker.”
“Yup,” he said, a bit defensively.
“I hope you don’t mind my asking, but I’m curious. Why are you supporting him?”
“I know he’s a little bit much,” said the Trump supporter. “But he’s a successful businessman. And we need a successful businessman as president.”
“How do you know he’s a successful businessman?” I asked.
“Because he’s made a fortune.”
“Has he really?” I asked.
“Of course. Forbes magazine says he’s worth four and a half billion.”
“That doesn’t mean he’s been a success,” I said.
“In my book it does,” said the Trump supporter.
“You know, in 1976, when Trump was just starting his career, he said he was worth about $200 million,” I said. “Most of that was from his father.”
“That just proves my point,” said the Trump supporter. “He turned that $200 million into four and a half billion. Brilliant man."
“But if he had just put that $200 million into an index fund and reinvested the dividends, he’d be worth twelve billion today,” I said.
The Trump supporter went silent.
“And he got about $850 million in tax subsidies, just in New York alone,” I said.
More silence.
“He’s not a businessman,” I said. "He’s a con man. “Hope you enjoy your coffee.”
I want to try something similar.
“Would you vote for Bernie Madoff as President? Donald Trump is a businessman like Madoff was an investor.”
But Trump admires the yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge F*CK YOU political retribution Christie gave the Mayor of Fort Lee. It was a beautiful thing in the Trump world.
OT, but I read that Trump is complaining that 3 debate moderators are Democrats. Really?
It used to be de rigeur for anchorpersons to be not registered for a party.
Is Chris Wallace independent?
These two are so slimy…
CNN will have to grant Corey Lewandowski 15 minutes of air time to detail how the Ft. Lee bridge closure was actually a plot hatched by Democrats to make Christie look bad. Followed by several days of surrogates saying the same thing. Followed by the Washington Post proclaiming Lewandowski is maybe overstating Democrat involvement.
Imagine the other Creepy People Trump will stand by if he becomes President. Ailes, Manafort, yadda-yadda-yadda.
‘By Jove, I think you’ve GOT it!’
Berkeley
Anyone who knows Berkeley, just across the bay from me, knows how astonishing it must be to find a sticker let alone someone who’s buying the sales pitch.
Of course he stands by Christie’s actions in screwing over ordinary people to get retribution for an imagined minor political slight. It’s exactly what Trump would do.
Shorter Drumpf, “a guy who fucks over his political opponents. My kind of guy!”
Oh, so using your political office and the trust of the people who elected you to cast retribution on those that oppose you is OK by cheeto jesus.
Yeah but how far along Christies downward spiral is donny going to hold his hand before it implicates him or his relationships?
Seth Meyers played a video of Trump calling Christie out on bridge gate in the primaries then later denying it, amongst other lies Trump has said along the way.
Of course Trump is sticking with Christie. Trump’s already said he is willing to stick with the corrupt President of a foreign power, because he says nice things about Trump. How would it look if he wasn’t willing to show the same consideration to local corrupt politicians who say nice things about him?
Why wouldn’t he stick with Chris? Trump knew Bridgegate was a political plot when it was happening. That didn’t stop him from letting Chris be his lap-dog.
You guys are missing the point. All those McDonald’s deliveries are paying off!!!
