Inflammatory and political fear mongering.

Prison is a very socialist environment. He should be there by then.

“America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination, and control.”

“The Fugitive Slave Act of 1793 was an Act of the United States Congress to give effect to the Fugitive Slave Clause of the US Constitution (Article 4, Section 2, Clause 3)…”

I suppose this means that the US will now stop all price supports to farmers, charge ranchers markets rates for grazing permits, and end all depreciation tax breaks for oil extraction, in addition to canceling the General Mining Act of 1872 that regulates mining and resource extraction according to 19th-century principles and woefully needs updating to modern economic theory. When Republicans do this, they will prove that they are serious about being against socialism, but in reality they love the socialism that pays them and their friends and dislike the kind that pays people who don’t vote Republican.

It’ll be interesting to see if the fear Trump has of being utterly humiliated and then subject to criminal charges after the 2020 election will instill enough discipline in him to allow him to keep this up for the next 21 months. And if he is able to (which I doubt), what his base, which likes his rage monkeying, will think of “presidential” Trump.

On CNN, I just heard Rick Santorum call this one of Trump’s worst speeches. “Unacceptable.” “No energy.”

When you’ve lost Santorum, the shit must be up to your neck.

Let’s ask Trump’s guest–the bullied kid about his reaction to the speech…

It’s important to remember that the modern ideological conservative has an idea of what capitalism is that is pure fantasy . And to match their fantasy capitalism is an idea of socialism that is also fantasy… That’s how Obamacare becomes 'socialism" as well as single payer healthcare.

It’s his Waterloo If he wants to threaten Social Security as his slogan. I think the stable genius has just boxed himself in another corner.

Republicans just lie. They are paid well to do it by rich people both domestic and foreign, Russians in particular.

102 years ago Bolshevism scared the piss out of the ruling class.
Now we try to scare the 36% into believing that soshalsim is comin’ ta git them.
Socialism: Like Social Security, Medicare, Medicare, the VA. Let’s get rid of them.
And some will be dumb enough to believe it.
Oh shit, does anything ever change? Does anyone ever learn anything?

I avoided the SOTU because I did not want to hear a moronic sociopath. My god, how can any of you stand him? Hats off! I’d prefer to wade through raw sewage.

This “socialism” thing has been a regular point of confusion on Fox News. Americans want social democracy like in the Nordic countries: paid maternity leave, efficient healthcare delivery, good doctors, excellent universities, excellent vocational training, childcare, low government-debt-to-GDP ratio, gender equality, etc. Not hyperinflation, food riots or a resource curse. Bernie Sanders was fairly good at explaining these systems, but social democracy always gets turned into socialism or the more confusing term democratic socialism. Sweden, in particular, deserves a look. It still has currency flexibility, avoided the problems of austerity and seems to be seeing a drop in support for the far right such as the Sweden Democrats (yet another confusing term, but hey, Hitler’s party was the National Socialists). Just say social democracy, please.
