I wonder if FOX isnât giving this fool enough rope to hang herself. It doesnât mater though. It sucks for the woman he grabbed but she can take solace in the fact the incident helped burn in an image of Trump thatâs going to figure big in his defeat.
Gee, Iâve seen something like this beforeâŚ
âAnytime you see a woman claiming to be raped by a man, you should investigate, and thatâs exactly what happened,â Pierson said on Fox Business Network, as quoted by The Hill. âUnfortunately, this was not the case, which actually hurts real cases of rape in this country, considering the magnitude and the scope of the publicity of this case.â
And your boss and his flunky campaign manger hurt real cases of telling the truth, facts and dealing in reality.
âIt was just a little pinch.â
So, everything Fields said happened actually happened. The State Attorney just justified Lewdboys actions with some security bubble babble, Got it!
âUnfortunately, this was not the case, which actually hurts real cases of battery in this country, considering the magnitude and the scope of the publicity of this case.â"
NOOOOOOPE. In this situation, where video clearly showed uninvited touching and she showed bruises, investigating like they did is entirely appropriate and sends the message that they take every accusation seriously, which reassures women who fear they will not be believed and, hopefully, makes them feel less helpless and like they will be taken seriously and not dismissed out of hand, thereby encouraging them to come forward. Lack of REPORTING of it is one of the biggest problems. Moreover, taking it seriously and investigating also sends the message to abusive people that they cannot rely on the willful blindness and negligence of law enforcement to escape what they have done, which was largely the case historically.
If anything hurt here, it was the silly reasoning of the prosecutor in refusing to bring the charges to prosecution. Maybe I missed something, but nothing that was said sounded like a legitimate legal excuse or legal justification for what the guy did, and more like a Republican prosecutor in very wealthy Jupiter County just providing a hot air lip service rationalization for brooming the case out the door. THAT sent a message to women and abused folks that their accusations will be held under a political light by a politicized prosecutorâs office who has political ambitions, as they so often do.
Bullshit. Coreyâs case is independent of other cases. Remember, This guy has a history of âŚshall we sayâŚless than gentlemanly conduct with women. This was not his 1st brush with the law either with respect to his treatment of women.
Only if you adhere to the rule of thumb.
I watched the video. Michelle Fields did not really have a case. She was haranguing Donald Trump after he had left the podium. Both Corey and multiple Secret Service agents sensed a security issue/concern/problem and began to step toward her at about the same time.
Next thing you know, theyâll be demanding Fields apologize to Lewandowski for having her arm get in the way of his hands.
No one plays the victim card better than Republicans.
⌠its her script and sheâs sticking to it!..
⌠would Katrina change her tune if she were in Fieldâs shoesâŚ?..
I am really discouraged by the caliber of liberal Democrats that hang out on TPM. You guys make dillweeds like Jessie Watters look good. Do you moonlight with the Trump Protestors who can never explain what they are protesting? This was a phony charge. The videos are exculpatory. Katrina Pierson is a sharp cookie and a great advocate for Trump. In my 70âs now I look at how superfluous some of you are and it makes me sad for the Democratic Party.

Thank goodness thereâs someone with a brain here.
Uh huhâŚwhat you MEANT to say is âscrew that pesky videotape. When you go against rich powerful white males in Florida, they are going to swoop in and take it away from the âlocalsâ who are obviously not able to investigate the way you are âsupposedâ to.â
Then why ARE you? Clearly, you have decided that nobody is as discerning as you are. No one is able to âseeâ the video and make a determination. Honestly.
âFields, a former reporter for Breitbart News, alleged that Lewandowski grabbed her arm as she approached Trump to ask him a question at a March press conference, pulling her so roughly that she said he left bruises on her arm.â
So Pierson equating physical battery sufficient to leave bruises with ânot real batteryâ is pure ignorance. Much if not most violence (domestic and otherwise) is indeed text book use of force to coerce by relatively minor injury or by instilling fear of far greater injury. The key to the power and control exhibited is bullying from a position of entitled dominance.
You donât educate re the nature of men manhandling women by minimizing the kind where no serious injury occurs. You educate first by recognizing it for the violence that it is, and then and only then classifying it relative to the extent of both physical and emotional harm caused.
Yes, they all saw the bomb she was carrying.
I donât think you know what âexculpatoryâ means. Lewandowski claimed he never touched her, why would he lie about that?
